It's not so much an excuse as much as bringing up a detail that was left out that effectively made it 6 of us vs 8 of them. Losing 1 guy at match start and another shortly after (both due to crash) makes a fight far more difficult.

These things happen though, all we could do was drop back and defend to try to make up for the 2 disconnects.

Did your team have 8 active mechs with some of them being piloted by non-members of your merc group? We had a total of 6 active mechs due to 2 of them crashing out of game. Considering the mechs they were piloting that was a pretty big loss of firepower for us.

Invasion would imply we came from somewhere but... nope! Most of us were fans of BT, many going as far back as the tabletop before Mechwarrior existed, before we were fans of a show about ponies. So it's more like us using the flavor of a show as the backdrop for our unit.
