Mc Compromise

If they start giving away MC (even as low as 30 per day), people would start being able to buy mechbays without buying MC. The loss in revenues would most likely be quite significant.

Well, they would be compromising their ability to make money off this game (for no good reason). So, I think that technically qualifies as a form of compromise...

Come to think of it, if PGI did that, I might actually drop $100 into this game.

it does not need to be much at all for you to have some scene of achievement and it will get people playing for longer. that makes them much more likely to pay.
oh and by the way i do pay

While i think many items are overpriced, I do not think mech bays are one of them, and people need to stop being so bloody cheap. Spend 6.95. Boom enough for 8 total mechbays, and that is really enough.

I gotta say all these "I want everything for free" posts are getting under my skin in a big way. I have spent alot of money supporting this game so far and the only reason you cheap !$%&*&&%^% have a game to play is because of the developers and the poeple like us that pay to support it. So get off your high friggin horse and spend a couple bucks so we can have nice things.
Rant off!

I also would not be against a c-bill to Mc conversion if it was something insane. Maybe 10-20 mil c-bill per 50-100 mc. Personally i would lean to the larger conversion of 20mil c-bill per 50mc. Making a mech bay cost 120mil c-bill.
Either way I have no problem paying money for convenience I work alot of hours and have little time to game. So for me dropping a bit of extra cash so I can own more mechs is worth it for me in the long run.

I have always thought that mech bays for Cbills would be a nice addtion to the game. Like you said it would have to be stupid expensive if only to encourage people to buy and spend MC. I also think if you spend MC for a mech the bay it would take up should be free. Be it a hero OR a regular mech as long as you spent MC on it.

If it wasn't this, it would be something else. Try tossing a dollar in a coffee cup on your desk each day for a month. I bet most people have a morning coffee or eat out several times a month, well, do this. Unless you are telling me you literally never have spending money, live on bread and water, and/or (more likely) leech off your parents' internet, you are not telling me you can't afford to grab like 6000 MC a month easily, and then you can buy all the mechbays you want and shut up about them.
Of course players WANT free money and I bet they want a lot of other things too - and they can go on wanting. I'll be over HERE with the people who appreciate the game's development and stompy robot fun enough to skip a few lattes each month.
