Information blackout?... the whole point of those monthly updates is to give us information monthly... there is no information blackout.. everything said in that developer update applies to the whole month.. we'll get another one at the beginning of March.. it's a scheduled update.. why would you expect more frequent updates when the title of the last one clearly implies it's a monthly thing?
Because there's something called content padding.
There will be two updates per month (actual updates), the issue is that only one of these guarantees real content the other one is just a Hero Mech (reskin), or some cockpit items, etc.
Which means that only two of the four weeks that we play this game per month will have new content; this is bad. Especially when you're trying to constantly keep people talking about your game, like they were doing before.
So what do you do?
You pad out your content.
I'll use February as an example of what they should have done, okay? Okay.
February 5th - Pretty Babby, Tiger Skin, etc.
February 12/13th - Trebuchet (or Alpine) Screenshots
February 19th - Trebuchet, Alpine, etc. implementation.
February 27th - New Mech Concept Art (This should have been done last month.)
Under this schedule, each week has something new. Something to talk about, something to keep players engaged in the upcoming updates of your game.
