I assumed everyone was going to do that, so that medium mechs would be relevant again.

PGI probably made the same assumption, and decided to preempt the forum tears and just redact the thing completely. :D

Information blackout?... the whole point of those monthly updates is to give us information monthly... there is no information blackout.. everything said in that developer update applies to the whole month.. we'll get another one at the beginning of March.. it's a scheduled update.. why would you expect more frequent updates when the title of the last one clearly implies it's a monthly thing?
Alright, I understand and don't feel the need to duplicate the OP's work. Perhaps I'm a little more committed to finding this information instead of sitting idle.

Asking for an explanation why they are not posting pictures 3 days in advance? Is this really that important? Is it such a horribly important issue? I am not surprised the word "entitled" has popped up in this thread. What makes it into the patch gets released, it's that simple.

Personally I would also enjoy more communication and accountability, but right now we just are not there yet.

Yes.

Yes, this is important. Last time this happened, a mech was delayed for months.

Sorry I was just going by what I saw someone else write, and a few others seemed to confirm it. I don't live in Canada so I am not familiar with their holidays. Thanks for the correction!

Yeah, I don't know what the BC Government was thinking when they decided to make the new Stat (this was our first year with a day off in Feb) different from the rest of North America, but I know it is causing huge issues in the Business sectors because of it. Think 2 weeks of cross -provincial lost work time because of non-coinciding holidays, especially at the government level.

I can't disagree with you

what I disagree with is people freaking out that just because they didn't do that, it must mean something has gone wrong and the patch won't include what they said it would.

That's because typically that's what it means.

If there is one thing that PGI is consistent with; it's their inconsistency.

I'd want to nail this down to being because they're short-staffed, but I can't.

Why? Because I can't imagine what else Garth does. I'm not trying to bad mouth Garth here, but I would assume his express job (since it isn't moderating, and it isn't doing interviews, and it isn't putting out the Concept art) would be to take screenshots of the upcoming content and properly pad it all out. Hell - they should be going one step further and creating VIDEOS of this stuff to get us excited, they do it for their bloody stupid Hero Mechs. Why not the actual, real content?

we are spoiled by *better development companies* that do these things consistently. **** us right? **** the competition for being so good right? its not PGI's fault that other companies are consistent!

we shouldn't expect standards set by the top in the industry! this can just be a mediocre game.

Indeed.

You're not alone in your opinion.

A bunch of little whiny girls in here. Settle down....we will get the trebuchet and the map. Do I agree that PGI should give us some heads up? Sure....but no need to get your panties in a bunch over it.

So, we're mad about PGI not explaining why they've missed a deadline......that they haven't missed?

Even for this community....that's nuts.

I'm not "enabling" anyone. Seriously - do you really think PGI reads these posts and thinks "Aaaah see we can pull this off, they are fine with it"?
All I see is mimimi, I want, I need, MY MAP, MY BUGFIXES MY TREBUCHET NAO!

Taizan, I won't be so bold and speak for the entire community, but I will definitely say that I and some of my friends are extremely starved for new content. We NEED that new map, bugfixes, Elo and the Trenchbucket in order to avoid burning out. PGI needs to step it up and release content faster, because a lot of veteran players with an abundance of unspent MC are bored with the game and PGI needs to add new stuff for them to have fun with. Hell, maybe some of them will actually activate their premium time if the patch is actually good.

CTRL+F "content padding" on the previous page.

You'll understand why people are getting annoyed.

We are passionate for the game but sometimes that can go a little too far.

Yeah - the few maps we have are too few and I am looking forward to newer and especially larger maps and all the other lovely stuff that may or not come soon.
I guess I am not just not at the same desperation point as others and not that impatient.
Do I love MWO? Yes. Do I worry every second or at the slightest inconsistency that the game will go to hell? Nope.

I already have some grey hairs because of stuff that really was worrying, no need to get more over a game :-D

To everyone, open up a nice beer, fresh from the fridge and take a deep sip. Cheers and lets hope for the best tomorrow!

Read the thread and use your critical thinking skills next time before vomiting a uninformed response, it just makes you look foolish.

His point still remains. People are complaining that PGI has not given us enough information. If the Treb and map do not come tommorow than they do not come tommorow. Why do you have to let it ruin your day? Its a game. No need to nerd rage about it.......
