LRM still works - spot for yourself or bring narc/tag equipped scout.
A well deserved change so game is fun again.

Always cute when people roll out the

I'm mad because streaks were the only weapon I could hit with because of the lag. I've stopped playing now.

And you're just happy because your inability to counter rockets does not matter an more.

Not needing to press anything to win
Thats what ECM are, renders any non ECM mechs useless but clearly you have more skill for spending a couple of bucks on a piece of equipment to make yourself invincible.

No, I'm happy I don't have to play WW1 Trench warfare simulators in a game about giant robots slugging it out with eachother in direct combat.

Direct fire, non lock on mechs can still shoot at ECM bro, what the hell are you smoking.
Oh no you have to use thermal vision to pick out targets at range or get close enough to lock on and the reticle flickers abit how horrifying.

I just won another match on a team without ECMs while the enemy team had ECMs. I'm not seeing any of this "ECM overpowered" everyone is talking about. The only times I've lost was when my team scattered and got picked off.

Please tell me how to counter streakcat as a light mech ("avoid it" doesn't always work, as you might be out of luck to accidentally stumble upon it). Oh wait it kills you in two salvos. Not to mention it ripped apart pretty much everything on the field. In 270 meters it was the king of the field.

If the streaks are the problem, why aren't we talking about fixing streaks?

Yesterday for ***** and giggles I ran a streakcat backed up by my teammates in ECM mechs so they could counter all jamming.
Streakcats are still pretty much harbingers of doom if they partner up with ECM mechs.

I agree, now streakcats dont got a win button anymore, people need to learn to stay out of the ECM range if they want to use weapons that require lock on, that or learn to use weapons that require you to actually aim.

Because they are fixed now. Still deadly if your team can field enough countermeasures and still viable if a streakcat's pilot is able to use tactic rather than just storming ahead.

Or get in a premade and partner up with mechs using counter ECM.

LRMs are basically useless now. Streak Cats are nerfed as well, though that isn't a bad thing because they were annoying.
We drop in our pre-mades with 4-5 mechs with ECM. Ultimately you know something is broken when everyone is using it no matter what. Now LRMs could have used somewhat better counters, but ECM is a bit over the top.
Still don't mind. We just adapted our builds and we continue to clean up, but some balance should be applied to ECM, or some effective counters to it.
