From the patch notes:

Quote

Fixed the ‘Fast Fire’ efficiency: This efficiency was previously working backwards. Having this efficiency previously was increasing the cooldown of weapons. Now it is properly decreasing cooldown.

So that means we were firing at 95% before instead of 105%. So that's a 10.5% increase in rate of fire. Seems like that will have a serious impact on how fast mechs die.

Or a serious impact on how fast mechs overheat.

Might need to rethink heat efficiency as well.

In before all the threads about how PGI ninja nerfed Heat "again" this patch because people are overheating their 9ML HBK-4Ps.

I'm more concerned about the damage though because mechs died really fast before. Now theyre going to die 10% faster! That's insane.

That's assuming most people had the cooldown (de)buff already. I doubt it.

hmm, 10% of 3sec reload is 0.3sec, that would be 2.7sec...

no wait, 5% additive is 3.15sec reload with the bug and 2.85sec with the correct buff.

So you tell me this will make a difference? That is not even noticable.
What is the highest cycle, gauss with 4secs? that is 3.8sec with the skill boost, c'mon...

and now take a small laser with the shortest reload time, it's a lol.

It means if you unlocked it you were firing 5% slower instead of 5% faster. If you had not unlocked it there was no change.

Machine Guns have no cooldown to affect.
