Post is up. Damage schematic's are freaking out by the spilled coolant sloshing about the innards of Bill's mech. It's just something to add a little RP flavor, that Wolverine is Bill's pride and joy, so he's going to be stressing over it.

@Janitor. If there's a chance to continue on with Bloody Billy Bones when you move this RP forward I'd like to stick around. I was just wondering if there will be opportunities to change/upgrade/overhaul mechs? Just curious.

Oh yeah and I love this RP, and the characters involved.

Sorry for the delay in posting, I'm prepping for an art festival I'm exhibiting at this weekend, and the writing has fallen by the wayside. I'll have LRMs on target soon, and hopefully a post from Maggie's PoV too.

No worries guys, I vanished for quite a time on y'all, I didn't expect everything to jump right back up to where things were and speed like it was.

Thom, to answer your question, yes, if Bones survives the Kharkand Rebellion then he is completely eligible to return, or he could choose to go off and do something else, and show up later. Only requirement is that he survived the previous RP. (This rule also counts for future parts)

And yes, in future parts you can choose to have refitted your mech, or you could have gotten a new one, or you can do something else, I'm planning to open the door on BA and some infantry combat in the next part(s). Another thing I'm going to do is tweak the scale, this RP was intended as a prologue, thus we spend basically the entire RP inside our mechs, future parts will have long stretches inside mechs, followed by sections outside the mechs. Open it up to more RP then just blowing shit up.

EDIT: Once Sparks gets a post in, I'll roll up another post.

I like meds. But I could always go for a little unseen heavy action. Non Warhammer/Marauder though, maybe a T-bolt...

Li will be sticking with Virgil-- for better or worse there's a little bit of "plot armor" in play here.

James would only ever leave his Raven to go back to piloting his old Highlander. And that's a good few dozen lightyears away.
Wouldn't mind having his Guardian ECM fixed at some stage though, or his BAP thoroughly looked at. if everyone else is getting upgraded at some stage, I'd like full functionality of his mech.

Access to LosTech and or ExpensiveTech will be opened up quite a bit, ClanTech however will be severely restrictive still.
If people want to keep their current mechs have have performed serious overhauls, that's fine as well, Antonio is going to be switching mechs, but will be rebuilding his wolfhound, since I'm quite fond of it.

Spokes.... Holy shit....

You can do that, mostly I'll be letting people upgrade, but I'd like to stay in the same weight range, and then the weight range will shift upwards as we go. With higher tech gear still being available.

i am expressly not going to keep and overhaul my charger. just because you guys couldn't handle a 6/12 80 tonner with a hatchet and the ability to keep its heat right at the magic number for TSM. 32 damage hatchet strikes every turn. nothing that could survive a hit could keep away from it.

as for what i would upgrade to. meet Mr. Archer, i go down in weight :(

That's a hefty price tag, Dal... Plus maintence on it would be a pain in the rear if we're still out in the BFE corner of the Inner Sphere.

i actually noticed that. i modified it for cheaper. xls are just so damn expensive and lights aren't available yet...

Spoiler

If i really wanted to go cheap i could do it a lot hotter for cheaper. that and a significant durability loss.

I was actually planning to ask for an XL engine myself for my Dervish, the story hook being that it was originally not a DV-6M, but a Star League-era DV-6Md, which sported an XL, CASE, and a pair of LRM-15s instead of 10s. Though it has since been downgraded by Nathan's ancestors due to the ravages of the Succession Wars, the original blueprints and specs remain in the ancient battle computer, and the chassis itself still has the original attachment points and so on. That said, having the parts is one thing, and getting them to work correctly is another, so I was thinking that the Dervish would display some... quirks, until Nathan irons out all the bugs. The increase in cost is effectively like buying a whole new Dervish DV-6M, but if we get enough salvage...
