I will post the pics of my computer I just finished today.
I had an amd tower with a 6320 and changed the motherboard and processor today
and redid the whole computer. I had a GTX 760 in it and I kept that. Also a stick of patriot 8 gig ram and a wd black hardrive everyone else and their mothers have.
I must say I am really happy with the build and I am installing MWO online on it right now.]
First game of course being downloaded since it is my main.
I noticed a lot of people had intels for MWO. So far with this computer, it is must less noisy than the amd one was.
Seems to run a lot cooler and everything works much much better.
I will post the pics soon, I had everything put into a snowcommander case from thermaltake I got for $50 today.
I am very much looking forward to booting up MWO for the first time on here!

oh yea, the processor is an i54670k

Here is my current setup:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Specifications:
  • Corsair Obsidian 800D case
  • MS Windows 8.1
  • Corsair HX 850W PSU
  • Intel Core i7 920 (running at 3.9 GHz)
  • ATI Radeon HD 5870 (running at 900 MHz / 1300 MHz)
  • 12 GB of RAM
  • 2 x 80 GB Intel SSDs (RAID 0; OS, software and games)
  • 2 x 2 TB HDs (RAID 1; storage)
  • LG 22" LCD monitor
The CPU, GPU and motherboard are water cooled.

When I built this towards the end of 2009 it was quite a monster. In the ever-developing world of personal computers I suppose it's nothing more than average today. It does its job as far as I'm concerned, however! ;)

How do you like the FX?

It's been a great chip! Anything I've thrown at it it flies through and along with the R9 280x it's been a great system. I honestly can't find 1 complaint about it :)

Ok you got me, it's only the water-box that I setup for cooling my CPU a couple years ago. ^_^

Yes it does smash an H50 into dust, in fact none of the Corsair (all-in-one) units can even come close to what it does.
I know it's ugly, but I put it together with all existing things I had laying around, old plumbing as gas fittings etc, etc, etc,.. Also, J-B Water-Weld is probably the best thing ever created. The water-box itself has about a total of 7 hours labor into it, from start to finish.. Oh, and the tubing is vinyl tubing found at any hardware store for .29 cents a foot cost.

The RADS in the water-box are (2) 12" x 10" copper tube radiators with aluminum fins out of a dead dehumidifier, with a couple 140mm and 120mm fans sandwhiched and opposite sides of the case for flow.

I literally cannot overheat my Phenom II x6 1100t... I can overvolt it to death, but I can't get the temps anywhere near bad.
I never idle above room temp.. I'm setting at 25-C right now with 4 windows up, I can't remember what it does at load, I might have a screenshot somewhere.
Also my coolant mix is 80% water 20% Anti-Freeze (automotive)... Yep

Awful Pic of the first day I had it running..

With all the spare parts, and Macgyvering I did, the total cost with Pump came in at about $89.00. The first waterblock I had was a cheap OCZ block that I lapped the center down on because it was raised, also I lapped the 1100t. The block I run now is an Enzotech block that I pulled the decorative plate off of becuase it was put on with hot glue and I figured it should just come off.

This is a pic of it on the old Sabertooth 990FX mobo... (Now it's on my Crosshair V 990FX)

I'm dumping the water box and putting these RADS into the case (HAF-X).
I've been lazy about it, mostly because i'm jumping ship from AMD and going Intel after what I saw my friends 4770K do to a FX-8350 first hand. So I figured i'd wait until I get the rest of the $1200.00 i'm throwing at it, and just put the RADS and the pump in when I do the switch over... Having Bills is no fun. -_-

Just rebuilt the rig I did last year.
Specs
Asus Z77 Sabertooth
3770k @ 4.2
32g 1866 ram
240g 520 series Intel SSD
2T WD black bulk HD
2x MSI GTX 680s 4gig OC editions
Seasonic 860 watt platinum PSU

WC gear (simple but effective)
CPU XSPC Raystorm copper edition
GPU Watercool heatkiller blocks with GPU X link
2x Alphacool UT60 480 rads.
Aquacomputer 880ml res
Alphacool D5 pump
Aquacomputer Aquaero 6XT controller.
12 Noctua NF-F12 fans (yeah yeah, ppl gonna talk shit)
on lil corsair AF 120 in exhaust just to keep air moving.

Avg. FPS In-Game: 37-42 on High Graphics
Windows Overall Score: 7.7

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core

CPU Cooling: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

GPU: XFX Double D HD-685X-ZDFC Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16

Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

MBoard: ASUS P8P67 (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Power Supply: CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V v2.3

Drives: 1 OCZ SSD (System), 2 Mechanical (Partitioned Storage)

Tower: COOLER MASTER RC-692-KKN2 CM690 II Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case. 4 120mm Case Fans (front/side/rear), Drive Bay Fans: 2x StarTech FANDRIVEBK Plastic Fan Enclosure 3.5in Triple Fan Hard Drive Cooler

Note: CPU/GPU/Memory all run slightly over-clocked. Also... I started with this CPU: Intel Core i3-2100 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz LGA 1155 65W CPU...

Spoiler

Note: Just purchased three CoolerMaster JetFlow 120mm (Blue LED) 2000 RPM case fans to replace the side and front panel fans for my tower. It runs a little louder, but my cooling has improved a bit, two fans are powered off the CPU Cooling system while the other runs to a 3pin power cable. (These fans... suck... don't waist your money... they've been removed since this post on the BSI website). A somewhat recent set of pics... since then I've replaced the mobo with another ASUS model up from this one, and added a 140mm Blue LED Coolermaster fan on the bottom of the tower next to the PSU (see where that nasty bundle of cables is... I then tucked them away where the empty HDD bays are). Re-routed some cables, zip-tied some properly for easy cleaning. I tend to take my PC out every weekend and clean it out completely with no CFM duster cans cause dust and pet hair is bad... Mmmkay?

Cooling - Cooler Master Nepton 140mm XL (push-pull rear mounted)
Ram - 8 Gig of Corsair DDR3 1600Mhz
SSD - 250Gig Samsung Evo Pro (1000Mb/s Read-write 6Gbs Sata AHCI)
