incoming rant post... my 1st :)

http://mwomercs.com/...095-3rd-person/

because of the above - i don't trust PGI anymore.

and since i don't trust PGI anymore -- i'm not going support PGI anymore...

i've spent $120 + $100 + change on MC...

i was thinking of adding some cash to get the new goodies (X5, etc. etc.) - but now i'm holding my wallet.

i don't have issue with [insert gripe here about ECM/consumables/3PV/etc.] -- i've enjoyed the game and spent a lot of time on it... (43 mechs and counting)...

i do have issues with DOUBLE TALK -- and until this ends, PGI will not see a penny from me..

and btw IGP - i was about to go legendary founder for MW:T, but i just don't TRUST you anymore..

Peace,
Mycrus
Luddite-in-Chief

ps. TRUST IS CONSUMABLE...

EDIT: country grammer

Same here, I've only spent $75 on this, but I was planning to get another $30 MC this week. Not anymore.

I've also bought into the $20 founders for MW:T, but that's even worse than this is.

Meh... I guess I'll just have to step up my investment in PGI to cover for you.

Another $200 in MC per month oughta more than cover your lack of contributions.

Same here. I've spent a few hundred dollars on MWO also but no more. It's been too many U-turns along the way and lots of broken promises. This 3rd person thing is a deal breaker for me.

I agree, I am not rich, but i have disposable income for my leisure time, and I consider my gaming time valuable so I am willing to part with my cash to get what i want quicker.

I Don’t want to Pay to win, I want to pay for convenience which is what MC is all about (Allegedly).

I bought founders, and I “foolishly” spent 30bucks on mc a few weeks ago, which I haven’t even used yet as I am disappointed with the same issues as the OP.

According to PGI I am not in their demographic so they don’t want my money even though I am willing to part with it, so I guess I won’t be giving it to them “At this stage”. Until they can address some of the community outrage.

I am not rage quitting, I will continue to play the game albeit less likely, I worked it out and PGI will miss out on around $50-100 a month from me.

Looks like Syllogy is offering to make up all our shortfalls so shall we start a running total?? Somebody please do the math for him.

Because I want Mechwarrior as an IP to succeed. Success = More Mechwarrior Games.

If the success of MWO is the biggest obstacle, I will help in whatever way I can to help MWO Succeed.

I regret to have spent some mc in the latest camo, a premium color for my merc and other things.

I still have few days of premium and I'll use them, but after this the will to leave for a couple of months and then turn back to see how the game fares tempts me a lot.

So far we have got:
-consumables that should have never been in game (ask dev 18 and others) of which their first implementation was totally p2w and then redacted thanks to the community uproar
-3rd person: even stronger community uproar; they want it anyway. Results: community fragmentation, elo will work worse than what it's already doing, cheaters will find a way to use 3rd in 1st vs 1st person matches only, loss of any pseudo-simulative immersion
-ECM: breaks pugging experience, Situational Awareness, has too many advantages, no use almost for the majority of the variants not ECM-capable
-missiles: from brokenly op to trash. Now most missile/srm relying builds are quite crappy (I'm happy with lrms things went out of hand really), everyone switching to lasers, ppcs and ballistics, now easier thanks to coolant flushes!

So.. I have more than 20 outfitted mechs and now I guess the most useful are AS7 RS, HBK 4P, AWS 9M, Stalkers, maybe the cidada 3M (I won't mention lights I don't use them), CTF 1X/3D, the usual K2, dragons are virtually botchered (no more use for srms as backup or finishers), Centurions are virtually screwed from being top notch and so on.

I'll continue to spend money (at a reasonable rate) for as long as I have fun at this game.

Same as any other online game I've played/paid for.

So far so good!

Sounds like they are willing to ruin the game for the people who care about MW/BT IP to placate the ones that have never heard of it.

Good choice.

Wow deep down i probably knew this but now you said it that really hits home as the truth for me. I have a lot of lonely mechs.

The FACT is most of you Founders and spenders have already peaked your expenditures in this game. Your in-game wallet is fat with hundreds of millions of C-bills, you've bought all the MC-exclusive crap you'll ever want, and PGI's income is probably at this stage bottoming out to levels not seen since closed beta. This certainly doesn't apply to every single one of you, but I'm willing to bet it applies to the majority of you.

Frankly put, the reason PGI isn't listening to you is because you already stopped spending money, and they need to exponentially increase their sources of income.
