Assuming this variant will be there--SHD-2Hb has 2 Missiles, 1 Ballistic and 2 Energy--for a Dual PPC+Gauss poptart build.

But the crown jewel of them all is the SHD-2D--it has 3 Missiles, 1 Ballistic and 3 Energy--gonna have tons of fun with that one.

Bet PGI will make a hero variant for Dechan Fraser's Shadow Hawk.

Is this a thread about a 'mech that you won't see for 4 months and how it will disrupt a future metagame of which you have no concept?

That's just silly, it's more likely OP has a TARDIS...

That's nothing.

People are talking and complaining about the brokenness of SSRM4 and SSRM6 which has no set date and will probably come after a year.

I'm more worried about the Battlemaster becoming basically a 7PPC Stalker.

The thing that gets me is that these 'mechs aren't coming out 'til October so the playing field will obviously have changed by then. We'll probably have the Victor, the Flea, and the Orion in the game at that point, which means we will likely have MASC at the very least. There's also (supposedly) a huge patch or two in the works for June. Not to mention the fact that the Shadow Hawk isn't being released in isolation...anytime you drop four new 'mechs into the game of course the metagame will change!

XL 275 engine.
1 x Gauss Rifle (3 tons ammo)
1 x Medium Laser
3 x SSRM2 (1 ton ammo)
10 DHS.
3 jump jets.
Endo-Steel.
Max armor.

Built using http://remlab.source...mlab30/mech.lab

That's looking to be my mech right there. If you went with an AC20 you have to go Standard, much slower engine, which is a no-go in my books. I'm always hesitant about putting XL's on mediums due to how thin their armor usually is, but I'll probably do it for the SH just to mount some decent weapons.

Don't forget the Gauss! You can make Hexa PPC + Gauss if you want to troll harder.

The basic Shadowhawk has hardpoints like a Hunch-G (the crappy variant) but head energy is a missile, only one arm laser, and 2 missiles in the opposite torso to the giant "shoot me here" gun.

Can't zombie, barely has the tonnage to mount large ballistics, which will get shot off nigh immediately going by art, and only has 1 energy hardpoint.

I like 55ton jumpers, but that thing looks like it'll be pay2suck until/unless SRMs get buffed again.

5 tons often means a lot in combat, so putting this mech behind a pay wall for a month is actually pay to win.

My MWO experience has been, if you are worried about the 5 tons ... they won't help you.

The shadow hawk has 1.5 tons more freespace than the treb at 5/8 speeds (STD engine) and with JJ it has half a ton more free space than the QD. This is why the 5/8/X jump capable 55 ton mechs are considered so good and why there are many of them (Shadowhawk, Griffin, Wolverine, Dervish, Gladiator, etc). This is not however P2W because you can buy the non fancy version that has the exact same hard points with good old fashioned c-bills. Sure you have to wait a month but that's hardly P2W so much as pay for a very small and temporary advantage in what is overwhelmingly a skill based game. Now if we start seeing golden missiles and armor or pay MC to put clan tech on your IS ride I'll be worried.

The newest trend on MWO forum. Complain about something before it it's actually in the game.

"Ultra ac10 is op, please nerf when you implement it!"

The nerve of some of these people.
