I am pretty sure when they posted all of those images of UI 2.0 they stated they were only mockups and not screenshots.

What else is it you want them to say? Sounds like we will get it on the Test Servers soon.

Well my question is, we've seen NO information about UI2.0 functioning.

And if you read the latest ATD's they don't seem to have it ready for release.

CW is even farther out than UI2.0 based on the ATD.

It doesn't quite jive with their recent statements that we'd be seeing it on a test server.

Drop the needlessly complex heat scale metrics
They are confusing to n00bs and really an uneeded game mechanic. Most weapons were fairly well balanced in my mind, I don't find any I hate really. sure some are better than others and need minor tweaking, but nothing is ridiculously OP beside ER/PPC's (and that's a simple heat adjustment fix, the damage, and even the pinpoint accuracy as is fine IMHO)

As a hardcore TT player, I'm surprised to say I kind of liked the new heat dynamics.
It makes the game more complex and encourage smart playing as pilots need to fight using mixed weapons, not 1 button alphas.

How so? We got confirmation of ppc heat increases, new map Tuesday, dx11, 3rd, and an engine update next month. Li

Nothing we didn't already know if you were paying the least bit of attention.

Speculated... yes.

Known.... no.

With the limited information as of late claiming to know that information is a bit of a stretch. I assumed the lava map would be next patch, but the others were only Coming Soon ™.

They have been especially tight lipped about when we will be getting dx11.

PPC heat increase is only logical, since the current ppc heat wasn't enough to really stop the boaters.

Thanks again community for letting me know why I quit playing.
It's the forum poster...not the game...it's you.
Your negativity is overwhelming and sickening.
Goodbye again.
And no, you can't have my stuff.
I've dropped over $600 on the game...and worth every penny, but the forums make me to sick to continue.

Yeah most of this stuff was covered in the recent ATD.

The problem is their timelines from the ATD and this post contradict a bit.

Reading doesn't work for you, if you see I was one of the first posters in that thread and actually helped spawn the thread regarding the social aspects of UI2.0.

But those are all mock ups. None of them are screenshots of a functioning UI2.0.

Basically they are all photoshopped ideas of what they want.

You want dates? Here it is:

- September: you will be able to join a faction house in-client, or create a Mercenary Corp (guild) and invite people to join it. You will have the tag of your guild showing up in the pre-game screen. Not sure if you'll be able to upload a Mercenary Corp logo at this point.

- December/January: you will be able to earn Loyalty points, the same way you earn XP, which you will use to get titles/ranks, unique patterns, decals, and at some point possibly unique (epic) 'mechs or even unique (branded/named) weapons.

- March/April: Community Warfare (the real thing) finally hits.

You wanted dates? You have them. Barring incidents, that's what you can expect. It's at least 8 months before you will have a feature complete Community Warfare, so deal with it. They've been pretty clear about it and although they can't release specific dates for obvious reasons, it does not take a genius to understand this. Stop asking them to mention a date. They can't. If they do mention a date and they can't make it the consequences would be apocalyptic. So, while it seems from here that it would be very easy for them to toss out dates, and that would probably make them gain some popularity, they know better and they do not toss out dates because they do not know when the process(es) will be finally done and ready to be released to the community.

They do not withhold data or information because they are stupid or mean, they do it because they know what happens when they announce a date and then they can't make it.

So read between the lines, and be reasonable, and try to put yourself in their shoes.

And you have the timeline anyway, up there. Happy now?

Summer vacation means that player counts should be at an all time high, but FAILED TO FIND A MATCH just like usual. We share the same queues, you should be seeing the same FAILED TO FIND A MATCH, it's not an anecdote if it's a shared experience.

You do realize a fairly large portion of us fall into the 25 and over "wage slave" category thus really don't get a "summer vacation"?

Quit reading the forums.... I only check them once in a blue moon

Thanks for the updates. I, for one, enjoyed reading it, and can't wait to try out the new stuff.

Peace (except with FedCom)

They say that the new wealth is information, and the way to win wars is with information, so just to bring everything inline with whats going on, PGI would love to be far more informative and give us all the information about upcoming releases, CW, game content etc

BUT IT WILL COST YOU............................$$$ or £££

But Hey nice diplomatic post, plenty too look forward too (i think)

Nice job Community with the Sarah's mech (applauds the communities generosity )

Thanks PGI for the teasers :)

You quit playing Mechwarrior Online because... of the forums?
That doesn't make any sense. Why not just ignore the forums and play the game?

It is a step in the right, albeit slow paced, direction. I think they're trying to avoid making changes that will outright break weapons like in the past.

At this point I could give a rats tookus about whether PPCs are broken or not. They're old and stale and I'd rather see them sledgehammered than gently nudged. Until the developers implement something logical like convergence changes, extreme measures are required (without this heat penalty lunacy).

Glad to hear progress is being made on new content, and thank you for taking the time to update us on the new map, DX11 integration, and other interesting bits that have been in flight for a while.

There are a couple points other players have already made that do need to be revisited.

1) 1 Million subscribers is a feather in your cap and a great sign that the game catches peoples eyes, and that the community has brought their friends along for the ride (I've brought 2+ in). That said http://www.xfire.com/games/mwo has shown a stagnation or decline of player hours per day since a high monthly average of 120-140 per day in December/January. This meshes with what most of us see on our contact list which is lots of people joining but not sticking around. In short the real game of CW has to arrive sooner rather than later if player retention is going to happen. Anecdotally 2 of my 3 IRL friends who played have left and made it clear that they lost faith in the development team after the bait and switch of '90 days after open beta'.

2) Even if you just out and out copied the CW from MPBT:3025 I think it would be a good thing! The most enduring games are the ones that are simple to learn but take a lifetime to master (e.g. Chess). So far in MWO there has been a serious case of overreaching then failing to deliver (90 days from beta to release....).
Please stop overcomplicating things - simplicity can be beautiful> Posted Image

Glad to see that the +1 heat for ER/PPC is a sensible aproach for once that still gets it done.
As far as Pulse Lasers are concerned I would suggest a 20-30% range increase while leaving the other stats as they currently are.
A new map is always good news.
A buff to medium mechs manouverability is apreciated aswell (hope you do not plan to buff the lights further though;-))

Overall great news - keep it up, we have seen a lot of improvements lately.

Still intent on forcing third person?

Best devs ever I tell ya hwhat.

Forcing ? each will have their separate modes like assault and conquest , If you don't want to play third person you can play your first person with all players playing the first person(geeks and simulation nerds)

For a game that doesn't have a massive active player base, artificially bifurcating matches is an odd choice.
