its been what almost 3 years and we are still waiting on that general lobby, what did you expect? they put no real effort into the social aspect of the game, and never have. dont expect that to change.

LOL, that's the way these folks run, PGI putting the minimal in Minimally Viable.

Yeah, I called it as soon as they announced the new LM sans support for large groups. References to a "lobby" left a glimmer of hope...

We knew this was how it was going to go, though. Sadly, it means private matches are only really useful for merc unit training and tournaments.

I desperately wish we could post games matches looking for additional players, listed something like:

Game mode - player count/free space - map - rule set

But I'd be shocked to see something like that this year (despite its being a common feature in every multiplayer game of this sort going back decades)

I've been pushing for a lobby in this game since these forums opened in oct 2011.

I know you guys are bummed...but honestly, this might be better for the game as a whole rather than just laziness.

How is not putting in something that has been in almost every PvP game (and every MW game since MW2) as well as basic internet tools that have been around since... well, the internet, better for the game as a whole?

These guys have set up a third-party lobby system reminiscent of the MSN Gaming Zone we had for MW3 & 4.

It might be worth a look, since PGI isn't doing anything.

Hell, even buggy, unfinished, still-in-closed-beta-after-god-knows-how-many-years, vaporware MechwarriorTactics has a rudimentary in-game general lobby where players can find matches. It's basic as hell but it's still some kind of LFG tool.
