Not sure what QQ is or QQ'ing is, probably have to be under 20 y/o to know that.

Anyway, they are not balanced at all, you guys are rationalizing your purchases and your newly found "skills".

actually im 23 and learned this from guys like you, and the pilot makes the major differenc, clan mechs are UNDERpowered if anything compared to thir original specs

if your not good enough at this game go back to COD or WOT

Well, except for hillhumping and hitboxes.

Doesn't the stalker have it beat there? is LLs also deal the same damage .2 seconds sooner, which may or may not prove to be enough to twist the CT out of the way to avoid that additional damage. Lack of shield arms limits the damage soaking ability.

Hillhumping is still a bit dead if you don't have JJs. Hill climb is just too limiting, and you're liable to slide around everywhere. Corner peeking is more relevant.

The higher hardpoints on the Stalker are nice, but when corner peeking it doesn't matter all too much.

Well duh, in their original specs they're beyond broken and they should never be put in any game that wants to be balanced.

The Warhawk doesn't have bad hitboxes. Facetanking no, it's not as good as a Stalker, but it's not hard to shield with a Warhawk either.

Beam duration matters little when your lasers are doing more damage and you have more of them. It also doesn't matter due to the point of the mech - long range sniping. Like, really long range sniping. 1000m+ sniping. You're fighting stuff that your team has already baited out in the open if you're making this part of an actual drop deck. The Warhawk has the range, damage, and DPS advantage over the Stalker. It's just better at ERLL sniping than the Stalker is due to these things.

I have access to clans. I'm well aware of their various benefits and drawbacks.

Beam duration matter, the shield and hitbox too.
The warhawk can take some damage, but I feel much safer in my Misery than in my Warhawk Prime.
And what about close rang brawl? The Stalker also have lot's of nice stuff there, he can deal damage, resist, tank better.
The warhawk will have disadvantage because of that beam duration.

You forget that those heat sinks only take up 2/3 of their IS counterparts.
You forget that the stalker in question is also an energy boat..is this somehow not a fair comparison?
You talk about ammo is pointless when we were taling about a stalker laser boat vs. a warhawk laser boat.
You forget that the fastest any stalker will ever go is 65kph while the warhawk does 71.3.
I have no idea why you mentioned a 4 PPC anything.

You forget Warhawk is stuck with that big ass engine
You forget Warhawk CAN'T EVER use its left torso for anything
You fail to mention that the Warhawk has monkey arms and the Stalker's are up over its cockpit (this huge by the way)
You forget that Stalker has a LOT more room for weaponry, Warhawk Prime has 8 RT, 2 CT and the arms period.....That Mk VI target comp takes the ENTIRE right torso.
You forget the added half second burn IS vs Clan Er-llas.

you do know thats what clan mechs are right? theyre a second generation, far superior type of mechs. and with that cost alot more, and much less clan mechs are going to be in matches, wich mean IS mechs would have had numbers.

why are people so onto us paying customers that were pay to play, not that at all, you want the game to continue be developed or not? you want the game to be free or not?

and again, i can easily take out any clan mechs with my little firestarter, the pilot is 90%, mech is 10%. all about if your smart, good, and know how to pilot whatever mechs you got

In an ERLL config beam duration does not matter. It does for things that are not long range sniping, but we're talking about long range sniping. Same with a close range brawl, though in that case I would still say the Warhawk has the edge due to superior DPS.

Don't care what they are in lore, I care about gameplay balance. Gameplay >>>>>> lore, always.

Yeah, holding a beam on ONE panel on a moving target is SO much easier @ 1000m

.....are you mad?

It DOES matter. Are you doing it on purpose?!
At long rang it is even harder to keep the focus on the part you want to attack on the ennemy mech.
And the shorter the beam duration is, the shorter you need to focus. And the less reaction time the ennemy got to shield his CT or hide his 'mech.

I don't particularly have a problem doing that, no...

Beam duration matters if they're always popping in and out of cover. If they're in the open, which ideally they will be since you're an ERLL mech and you presumably have a team that has drawn them out into the open since that's the entire point of bringing one of those mechs, the only thing you need to concern yourself with is holding your aim.

Easier to say that done.
Good for you if you have a bionic eye's allowing you to maintain perfect accuracy.
Not everybody got that.

ho, and by your argument:
I have no problem dealing with a Timber Wolf on my hunchback, so the timber wolf isn't OP. Period. :)

If you're having trouble holding your beam on an enemy then that's just a point where improvement can be made. It's not a permanent drawback of the mech.

Advanced zoom isn't a detriment on those mechs since lasers are hitscan, if mechs aren't clear at that range.

A stalker will have that same problem, but with less change on his efficienty, shorter beam duration.

That's basicly the thing you say on your side.

LOL the game IS balanced, actually no, clan mechs are underpowered. if yu can kill clan mechs with IS mechs then why do you bother playing? i sure as hell have zero problems.

How about some statistics comparison instead of cherry-picked screenshots?

How about a comprehensive end-to-end analysis, including, but not limited to, the following:
  • chassis analysis, including all variants and IS/Clan configurability
  • weapons analysis, including damage, rate of fire, duration, burst vs single-shot, weight, slots, ammo, impulse
  • equipment options analysis, especially those that affect speed, agility, and heat efficiency
  • time and spatial-based dynamic models of how the above interact in 1 vs. 1, 1 vs. N, lance vs. star, and team vs. team encounters

What make me laught is that the guy your quoting is talking about cherry picking.
While he's doing that since the very beginning. :)
