Here's an idea: just use the old arm for AC/20. There, fixed. You're welcome.

Uh... as a YLW pilot, no thanks. I'd rather go with the arm that isn't the size of a whole mech. If there's a YLW in a match, you can pretty much just close your eyes and fire randomly at different angles. There's a 95% chance you will have disarmed that YLW in 30 seconds.

I'd prefer a hitbox that lets me keep my main weapon even against skilled opponents.

I'm sad the CN9D got no movement or speed quirks since that is its defining feature much more than the crappy LBX but whatever, my fast D is getting upgrades to both shield arms and losing a 10% deceleration nerf. That's pretty good.

The whole point is that on the D, that "crappy LBX" will be out-DPSing an AC/20 on a non-quirked 'mech.

Now stick a couple of ASRM-4s on there as well, and you've got pretty much the ideal light hunter.

Meh, whatever winter, if they are shooting that arm they ain't killing you. It doesn't come off THAT easy. I love my wang and play with it often. I like the big gun

The weight of the LBX really limits the speed you can attain. A slow light hunter is a bad light hunter. Besides with the amount of laser vomit on the field these days no one needs a light hunter. I admit the DPS is impressive but I'm not sold yet.

Only if you go STD.

XL you can go 120 with 60 rounds. May or may not be enough, with that cooldown buff.

Would be interesting to see if it would live long enough to run out of ammo....

agreed. I don't average a 4/1 KDr on 2 accts with the Wang by losing it's BFG. I probably lose it 1 in 4 matches, maybe 5, early. Other times I lose it, I'm a walking stick or outta ammo anyhow.

If you're running a Cent-D w/o a large XL (like, 320+XL), then you're probably using it wrong. :P

I don't like it, but at least is better than the catapult.

Seriously, black boxes without textures in all the mechs for all kinds of weapons are not an acceptable solution.

Also why the centurion head antena was cut in half?

I'm having trouble letting go of SRMs on my D, but I suppose two medium lasers and a buffed up LBX might be worth a try. Still looking for a way to get SRMs on there.

300 works fine. only have 2 missile racks anyhow. I'd take an LB-10X over 2 srm racks, any day of the week. 3-4, we'd be talking a different story.

Yeah..except I found firepower to trump toughness in actually helping the team win, even then. More Bang Bang in the beginning of the match almost always is a bigger help to the actual win then running around for 13 minutes of pew pew with 3 mlasers.

Zombie myth has been a myth since inception.

Xl300 is not enough. Not at all not if you drive it like I do. Xl370 2 medium lasers 2 ASRM6 is all you need. Just today I chased a fresh zombie style CN9A with 3srm6 into his team on Crimson and killed him and took a few arms and legs off his team mates before they took me down. They were up two kills before I died but my team followed me in and I had them so broke up trying to get me my team turned it around and won 12 to 9. 1 kill 9 assists 800-ish damage and if there was a statistic for "turned the fight around" or "saved the day" I'd have it. This is what the D does drive it right and it's a lot meaner than anyone suspects. The speed and toughness is what makes it work the fire power isn't anything to brag about but it is enough

Wait, are those really good looking CGI models or did someone make RL toy models of those mechs?

Either way, pretty amazing job.

Well, I've liked the Stock Centurion-D for a while (well, not in its entirety, but the overall idea anyways).

This is the best I could come up with maxing out, based on Russ's "numbers".

CN9-D

Plus, you can't go wrong with another 300XL.

Alternatively, I could just dump the FF and extra DHS, and manage to add 1 more ton of LBX10...

CN9-D

Oh well.
