Now, I haven't played with my cataphracts for a while... I've had even gone so far as to get rid of all of them except my Ilya Muromets, (a mech which strangely reminds me of my mistress) to clear out some mech bays. Even with playing almost purely clan since the invasion, Ilya is still my most played.

So...

I just purchased the CTF-0XP on a whim instead of waiting until it was available for Cbills and I am suddenly super excited to get back into the cataphract saddle. So While I am patching (and probably repair tooling..) I decided to purchase another CTF-0XP and give it away to the first person to reply (who hopefully doesn't already have one of their own)

Wow, quite generous of you. I just feel that the lack of the high energy points in the torso will make it harder though. Let me know how it flies.

2nd place rarely gets something as cool as 1st, but not today, you can try out your own CTF-0XP

I'm trying an ac20 and the quad medium lasers, I didn't notice the single heatsinks stock until after the 1st run, overheated pretty fast without being leveled up.

Not asking for a stealth cata (though I may get one later...) but I have to say, these good Samaritan acts are a fresh breath after the day of rage on the forums. Always cheerful to see someone willingly tossing a mech to people. There was a locust giveaway earlier just like this thread: no hate, just fun and mechs :3

I started trying out mechs with UAC jam chance quirks this week, I never had any success with UAC builds/mechs so far.
Had great matches on my Jäger DD, then I tried a Phract 3D with 2x UAC5 2x LPL - works nicely too! Those low arms, though...

So I am wondering too if it is worth getting the 0XP. Let us hear more feedback, plz!

I think it could be run as a mini-Misery, using the left side as a shield and an AC20 in the right torso and either 2PPC or 2LPL on the right arm. It will tank less and be less heat efficient than the Misery, but move faster and have the added benefit of ECM.

I see a Locust giveaway, 3 Cataphracts being given away, this is really nice. Glad to see stuff like this happen outside of streams.
