Any internal section of a mech is destroyed from the first hit it takes after the armor is stripped. I saw it happen and decided it was time for a break. See you next patch.

Tell your team to shoot you in whatever section you want, then have them plug you with small lasers. Zap, limbs removed, and sides cut out instantly. Once your armor's gone, you die very, very quickly. Thisn is true for all hunchbacks, the SRM spam awesome, M awesome, K2, and streakcat.I haven't tried the atlas yet, but judging from how fast they die when I strip their armor, it's the same for them.

Game's broken now.

It's not playable like this.

I'm currently using an XL on a Centurion and I've had my side torso internals damage without dying.

I've killed plenty of people using many different mechs by destroying their center torso and I had to destroy internals as normal.

I'm just not seeing this bug... maybe there has to be some very specific circumstances.

EDIT: Never mind, it just happened to me! Side torso only got to yellow (not destroyed) and I died instantly. It was a Gaussapult who did it, if that's any help.

I'm not seeing this bug either. I'm using a standard. I've been running around tanking with internals as usual. This might only affect XL engines?


nm i see it also: I just figured my amazing marksmanship had headshotted them but now it happened to me lol

I could record it for you, with 9 different mechs...

Ask your team to shoot you when you're just standing still. See if it works on yiour cent.

I thought so at first, but my awesome has a standard, and always had a standard. In fact, he's using the engine he came with, as is my swayback.

you know that an atlas center internal structure has 60hp right? you should survive 4 gauss shots, not just one.

Yeah totally, my standard engine hunchback just has an XL engine now somehow right?.

I have seen it happening every single time the section takes damage after armor is stripped.

The only mechs I've seen that don't die this fast are jenners. Everything else, no matter what, when armor's gone, it just spews limbs and torso sections all over the place.

I have not notice that...
I have been running with only internal structure, no part was destroyed... (and I just get pursuit by jenners xDD)
and I have shoot it some mechs without armor... and internal where changing color gradually till gone... some 6 to 8 medium laser salvos...

maybe internal now have the hp of thing in them.. if you don´t have nothing (like and empty side torso), they just get destroyed out quick, if you have headsink.. ammo.. etc.. they take more damage till those items get destroyed first.

or maybe just my...

So this has been the trend of most of the last few patches. Huge glaring bugs that should be so obvious to detect in 2 or 3 rounds of play testing and yet nobody noticed. It's like they pop into a game to tinker with the weapons they've changed to make sure something functions on the surface, but they don't actually play a round of the game to make sure things are fully working.

I'd be really red faced if I my name was attached to this product.

I think commandos are also not affected.

Because they have no QA, QA is handled by IGP and they are still hiring QA personal...

Sorry guys, I'm just not seeing it.

I've been in several matches, once armor is gone you still have to eat though internals, nothing has changed in regard to that. It's not like "one damage = instant kill to exposed engine" or anything.

Take a deep breath, stop "not repairing" your mechs, and pay a bit more attention.

I've been piloting an HBK-4J (stock) and an AS7-RS (very much customized) this evening and have not experienced this on either of these chassis. Standard engines on both.

That could be it. So instead of counting the actual HP, they count a component in the section.

Is this endo steel specific? I've seen a bunch of trials running around internals all exposed and not dieing instantly.
