Hi Everyone,
I know St. Ives hasn't enjoyed the massive groundswell of support that has catapulted some of the other lesser Inner Sphere states into the realm of being playable (looking at you, Free Rasalhague Republic and Capellan Confederation). Anyway, I've long-wondered just how much support St. Ives has in the player base. I'm interested to see what the rest of you think about St. Ives.
Thanks for your consideration!
Hayden

The lesser Inner Sphere states can come in when the Clans come in.

Can't vote, because I have no favorite St. Ives unit and all questions must be answered. Please add a "none" option the third question.

I'll give you my answers this way.
Do you support St. Ives Independence (playable). If not, where does St. Ives Belong?

No! It belongs into the Confederation.
Would you play for St. Ives?

No! At best they are mislead, at worst they are traitorous.
What is your favorite St. Ives unit?

None! I don't play favorites, besides my open support for the Ambermarle's Highlanders (non St. Ives unit).

I would like to fight for the St. Ives Compact.
I have read some of the novels about Candice? Liao her son Kai A. Liao and her fight to break free from the ill twisted family.
The fight for freedom and independency for her people is the for me one most sympathic story´s about the BT universe
It is like the Free Rasalhague Republic an underdog between major players.
So I would def. play on the side of the St. Ives Compact even it means to be outnumber by enemys.

I am a soldier of the Federated Suns and will fight for St. Ives but not as a one of them.

Death to the Capellan confederation!

The St. Ives Compact: The more sensible, sympathetic side of the Capellan Confederation.

What does this thread have to do with cannons? French ones brought Napoleon to one of the best leaders of the entire history, but it has nothing to do with this thread. ^_^

Being a St. Iver doesn't mean you have to hate Capellans. Candice is normal, she rules her nation, but doesn't hate anyone, no ill plans just to have some vengence. Also, she's responsible for Sun Tzu's rule which helped us. ;)

And this is true, I don't hate Capellans. But I also want to keep their armed forces out of St. Ives' territory. I'm also not too keen about the repercussions of a successful Capellan invasion; not real keen on becoming a servitor.

As much as it would be cool, it's one of those things where if you allow it, then you need to allow all the other periphery states etc. Then again, they allow the FRR.

I also am not sure if right now the St. Ives is even independent.

St. Ives became independent in 3029. What makes St. Ives special is that it's not considered a periphery state, but a minor Inner Sphere power. It's also closely involved in the affairs of the Inner Sphere, and even fought against the Clans.

ED: This is, coincidentally, a major reason for why I feel 3025-3029 is the better era for this game.

I like the St. Ives Pact and I would play them if they had a nice bonus. It would be nice that in a future expansion that we could pick from any of the major and minor powers through out the Inne Sphere, Periphery and Clans.

The St. Ives Compact was a minor Inner Sphere nation that existed from 3029 to 3063.

Thanks guys, wasn't sure when CapCon took them back is all. I knew it was free for a while but it's been a long time and wasn't sure where they are right now.

Well heck, if the FRR is playable, then St. Ives should be playable imho. I'd definitely join.
