How do you say it politely? Eff this event.

If you play a light, your score will go towards the light leaderboard, medium = medium leaderboard, etc. Scores from one class do not contribute to other class leaderboards OTHER THAN the MechWarrior Champion leaderboard.

However, to be included in the MechWarrior Champion leaderboard, you will need to have scores in ALL classes.

That's how I interpret it ... then again, given my earlier boo boo maybe I should leave this to someone else to confirm

Here is the biggest question I have...with the speculation of "padding" the elo score prior to signing up for the event, is the elo score going to be tracked seperately from the already established personal stats elo? Meaning, is everybody going to start on the same ground with a flat score across or is your initial elo rank coming from what has already been established? Does that make sense?

hmm I worry about this also...

..and for those who play fare.. and do not 'tank' their stats, this means you will only be playing against comparable skilled opponents OR better skilled ones who did indeed 'tank' there stats, instead of varied skill level assigned at random hmmm..

I am curious if this is just a ploy to get ALOT of people to drop as lone wolves to boost ELO data for future MM data.

meh who cares this looks awesome sign me up regardless cuz even if it is "a ploy" it helps the game which = good,
and
if I face players who 'tanked' there stats I will be playing vs potentially higher skill (if troll like) pilots which is always fun when you beat them.


Edit: ahhh rats I have work (and sleep) for most of this event.. oh well, will still be interesting. I usually drop in 4mans with people from the NGNG: Outreach TS3. It will be interesting to be dropping primarily Lone Wolf for a change plus the added thrill of competition...

Also might I say that this is a pretty good way to accomplish multiple tasks:

A. Get new players playing the game by ensuring a majority of current players are dropping solo. Thus weakening the pugs vs premade debate.

B. Stress test your servers for future competitions.

C. Get people playing and quicken the process to get the ELO scores properly tallied thus making MM3 even better.

D. Actually engage your competitive community for a change.

There should at least be c-bills or MC prizes going on here! Otherwise big whoop on a banner that only you can see. E-peen has no value!

Great idea but really really bad implenentation. It is apparent that most of the weighting is on matches played and the win/loss record...great way to evaluate skill of players when you are forced to play with random idiots.

PGI could have easily used matches won as a weight but put it way down the priority list.

Not to mention I have had 3 matches with 3 mechs DOWN...really? And aother 2 that the enemy outweighed us by 250 tons.
