SlXSlXSlX, you're still ignored for failing to argue the subject.
Accusing someone of attacking you is a well known bogus statement put forth by people who initiated the conflict as your quoted posts show.
There never was a Missile Warrior Online. Yes, I looked up those threads form back when, 99% complaints about OP with no analysis or solutions, 1% partial data. Lot of wasted posting and complete failure by people to understand what a BETA is or how to handle it. Lots of wasted posting and complete failure to properly fix anything regarding LRMs.
There clearly is effort to turn this game into ECM War Online. I didn’t sign up for that. I am not interested in sitting in a Mech spamming EW back and forth, that is like sitting at a computer spamming pictures with messages on them back and forth. If I or anyone else wanted that, we already have Forums, Facebook and various other ways to do that. SturmWealth’s mention of optional rules to support ECM currently is bogus, optional rules are optional for a reason, they are too advanced for most people and are NEVER made a part of mandatory rules. Making optional rules mandatory is a big mistake. Basic Game Design 101.
Clearly some posters here never saw the video explaining why assumptions being posted about players who do not post should not be made. Those players do not play that much, a good number of them don’t stick around and never say why here though I have seen the reasons why elsewhere. I have played games that provide data that proves this, closest here is the recent contest held this weekend ranking people. I did not play anywhere near as many games as the top ranked people yet my standing started around #25,000 but ended about #5000. How did I go up 20,000 ranks if I didn’t play much? Because a lot of people that signed up played even less than I did. Conclusion, people who don’t post are not playing much part of that reason is the game still has problems including ECM (it’s BETA sillies), you cannot assume they have no problems with ECM Stealth, that is just plain arrogance and ignoring the time proven lesson about assuming. Adding more ECM on top of ECM problems that exist just makes it worse.
I know what makes a BattleTech and MechWarrior game good including shooters. I played previous MechWarrior titles including all three MechWarrior 2, rated the best MW so far. In MW2, we had LRM-boats and no ECM Stealth. According to supporters of ECM Stealth the game should have been OP in favor of LRM boats but it was not, should ask why that was and still is true but they refuse to face reality.
There do seem to be problems I have seen regarding LRMs that still persist to this day, other potential problems require unasked questions to be answered. Since these problems and potential problems persist, ECM Stealth fixed nothing.
Not only have I spent time playing and testing TT and computer versions of BT including MW titles, I also have spent years playing and testing various other games and, in my professional career, did troubleshooting of several industries, From all those years of experience, I know as do others there is specific methodology that must be followed to fix problems like those regarding LRMs. Since the proper methods will not be used, correct fixes will not be done and this game will de-evolve into EWO. I have no choice but to give this a negative review to anyone I meet and in print, MechWarrior is not ECM War Online.
In addition, I have been playing MWO before ECM Stealth was added, not once did I see this 'massive' problem with LRM boats. I even ran an LRM boat on the AWS-8R shooting 90 missiles and not once did I see myself having this overwhelming advantage, I actually saw people employ the game legal counters that did not require ECM Stealth and beat me, part of why I stopped boating LRMs, skilled players who knew how to beat LRM boats. ECM Stealth fans are not skilled players.
