Your mad because after the last ever reset you didn't know that we were in Open Beta for the last 4 months and spent your MC that was stated for months prior would not be reset? Okay, your mad at yourself for being ignorant and unobservant because even my casual friends who logged in maybe once a month back then asked me what Open Beta meant for their MC. :)

Every time I see your sig, I see a little Bat-symbol in the swirls there on the left. It's distracting, sorry. This seemed a thread of such little import that I thought I'd pass that along here.

I concur. Your parents should be very ashamed.

Indeed. Ashamed I have a full time job and don't live all day on some video game forum to read all the obscure hidden facts that try to redefine a "Beta" game as an "Opened" game for the plain fact they make it "Public".

Be fanboys all you want; it was not plastered everywhere for a normal casual player waiting for standard opening to commence to see, and with a 3 day window between their general notice without a public meaning of that on login.. it's an obvious scam.

If you don't read an email that says "Open Beta means no more MC reset" and you login 3 days later to see "Open Beta!" on login, but nothing on that screen to say "No more reset", and then just spend MC like any other reset... you had your money fleeced from you.

Trying to defend that obvious fact by saying "your not an unemployed fanboy who reads the 200 mails you receive a day and just login to the game once a week" just makes you all sound more silly.

Come on guys, you don't really expect him to read things do you? I mean, that's way to much work. PGI should have had someone go visit every founders house and inform us in person. Way to be lazy, PGI, shame indeed.

Hey I resemble this and resent this statement! I'm at work and posting on the boards....therefore I'm paid to post here, indirectly.

Readng comprehension isn't taught in schools, I see.

The MC was spent on November 2nd. The news article was posted on Oct 26. MC refunds apparently ceased on .. Oct 29.

It's amazing how much logic defies all you tweeners.

So you're a Legendary Founder, and yet so casual a player that you don't read anything on the forums. So you just dropped over a hundred bucks on something you barely ever pay attention to? That's what I'm reading here.

He's either 2 deviations below average, or trolling.

Let's go with trolling, for now. :)

They should have had the login screen not just say "Open Beta" but "Open Beta; no more resets". They type enough useless crap on those screens, a few pertinent words would only make sense.

It just means they were intentionalyl trying to catch people with lives who weren't tweener fanboy; hoping they were also the type with money to spare who wouldn't care to get ripped off.

If you don't read an email notification, you miss the notification and get the consequences as a result. It sucks to be sure, but how is that forumworthy?

we're sorry that you're so much better than everyone and have such an important life to bother reading the multiple announcments, emails, and forum posts that were posted MONTHS ago, and that you now just finally found time to even notice. Check your junk email filter, and pay a little more attention to things that you obviously feel are so important, so important that you finally noticed 4 months after the fact.

maybe you'll pay more attention to the things you spend your hard earned money on in the future.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Until "official release" Ill now be calling this game, MechwarriorOnline:BETA No more resets

Has such a nice ring to it!!!

...or you could have just read the emails they sent you, instead of glancing over it and deleting it. Or checking the website more than once every other month.

Still can't believe you spent $120 and don't even have a clue what is going on.

Dude is obsessed with some "tweeners."

Sir, I have a job and yet have the time to not only play this game, be aware of what goes on in it, and produce the Violent Combat Robots Show, a podcast about said game. If you can't be bothered to pay attention to how you spend your money or MC, that is no concern of ours. You lose, sir, good day.

Heck, besides the forums, the main page (at the time), the email I got (and still have), the patch notes from the switch to open-beta (okay, not always the easiest to find), I also remember the client stating that in the feed as well for at least a week.

I'm pretty sure they are not legally obligated to visit you personally for this stuff. Plus, if this was their master plan as a scam, it failed miserably. Following the ineptitude of telling people what was going to happen, they netted one guy. I'm not sure if that even counts as a scam. Semi-literate, English-as-a-third-language, Nigerian teenagers have a higher success rate posing as exiled nobility.

Plus, they took the scam WAY to far. They are actually creating a game that works. That took a lot of effort. And money. Yea, as a scam, this is the worst one I have ever heard of!

------------------

For the record (since you went to the "real life" defense on this one):
  • 3 kids (Dance Team, Little League, and diapers!)
  • Registered Professional Engineer and Geologist = Full Time job (and then some)
  • Manager (job title)
  • Still married!!!
  • Have my own house (not mom's basement)
And... still got the word. I sorta feel bad if you didn't. But I'm not sure how anyone could have possibly have physically gotten word to you.

Yeah... the forum mods get all cranky when we start calling people stupid, though. :)

THIS MEANS YOU, SPLATTERBUG.
YOU WILL NOT GET ANY REFUNDS.
