Who is this Nubnub? He put everyone on his friendslist. it is good that he friendly and he is probably a nice guy but...Has he done anything wrong?

Would that be like the random guy who added ten thousand friends to Facebook for cruddy Zynga games?

Yeah, I usually avoid such people. ;)

Nay squire. Nubnub is a agent of ComStar, as seen by the screen shot of a ComStar terminal with tracking data. You are right to be wary, however, nubnub himself seems to be of negligible threat... One can only hope that someday we can [REDACTED]

I don't know if it is depressing or what, that I'm part of such a small "minority" in those statistics. ;)

Well done with this work Hawkeye. Your data seems to reflect the common trends in MWO however, as Tyra has pointed out, certain details are questionable; this may be more accurate in this regard:

ahm somehow i have my doubts that 99,9% of the comm. are from the US....

I'm one of 2! people on the whole forums (the other one is Aegis), hwo should we feel? :)

Also, could you find any data on factions like nubnub did a while ago? Thanks. ;)

Oohh, good point. Factions listing of players would be nice. Most will be Merc corp or lone wolf though...

Now i'll never get into beta.
You know they will never give beta invites to the 566 users with more than 100 posts because these forums will become a graveyard.

What is http://static.mwomercs.com all about :S (url obtained from Nub Nub's 2nd screenshot) most of it seems like some kind of ftp access to upload and obtain files. But $>who turns up a Comstar Operative Number, and $>3d loads Paul Inouye's profile, apparently he's a 'suspect' ;)

First of all, for those of us dominating the forum content, we strongly need to consider stepping outside more often. Please see this information on the risks of sitting at a computer for too long.

Here is an exercise video for those of us who are sitting waiting for the HOLY GRAIL to show up in out e-mail. Or you can get a Shake Weight.

I found the static.mwomercs.com terminal on May 20th, If any of you can get it to spit out any useful information I would appreciate it. Also I suggest someone with a Java Scripting background to look at some of the functions being called within the program. Please note that this page only works well with Google Chrome. Also to those who may be wondering this is a Linux prompt.

Curse my devotion to the game and my finding forums more fun than other games at the moment and my obsession with helping others with computers...
*facedesks in agony at the prospect his post count might hurt his chances of getting into beta* ;)

You make an excellent point about those who are selected for the beta. Now I won't feel bad if I'm not selected. It isn't that long untill release anyway. But I swear to god if someone I know gets in and doesn't let me watch over thier shoulder I will take all thier cookies, I have my eyes on you...

Pretty horribly I'd say, but you've run away with the post count victory so yay. ;)

I've looked over the Java Script, I saw a few tip bits, but certainly a JavaScipt pro could tell you more. Some of the commands seemingly do nothing really right now from what I can make out. 'who' will always return the same output. There is a few funny references. My fav being a reference to Jurassic Park "You didn't say the magic word!" with added sound effect (.mp3) that is not audible at the moment, or I'm unable to reproduce the input require for such an output.

'Install' shows reference to installing a Chrome application. It's specific 'Chrome', and not WebKit.

Yeah, the member numbers are most likely not 100% accurate. I was on Facebook the moment MWO posted the launching of their forum and, to the best of my knowledge, I was the second non-PGI member to post, so my number of 363 may or may not be accurate, though I doubt it.

Also, that graphic of the world that puts 99.9% of all players in North America cannot possibly be right. There has to be at least one-tenth of a percentage point in the United Kingdom, and it's probably closer to two-tenths of a percentage point in Australia.
