As the original founders program isn't as beneficial as it should be, probably not.

I would really like they to make the founders blue scheme a camo selection only for those mechs in camo spec so we can place other camo schemes on our founder mechs.

I would also like to see a slight GXP added to prior and future founders mechs for the Clans if they decide to do a similar program.

Make it actually useful beyond the firs 2 weeks.

I dont pay to beta-test for anyone, under any circumstances.

With that said, I like this game enough that i would happily pay a $15/month subscription, ONCE IT GOES LIVE, to be able to play clan mechs. Keep IS mechs F2P and make Clan mechs Premium.

Its not like this is a new Idea to the F2P model. Look at WoW, DDO, or Champions to name a few.

If you dont want to pay a sub you would still be able to buy Clan tech with MC. IS Hero mechs would still be MC only, as would any Clan Hero mechs they introduce. But a sub would allow one to buy Clan tech with C-bills.

Times are tough, and budgets are tight, not everyone can afford to throw $100+ in one chunk at a video game. $15 dollars a month on the other hand is much easier to do while keeping a budget.

This game has been in beta for over a year, the Founders program is over, and should remain that way. There are other ways for this game to make money.

I had to vote No/Yes, because while I think this is a good idea, I am a dedicated IS player at this point. I'd only purchase a Clan founders pack if it allowed access to Clan technology, but I think if they introduce crosstech the game is DOOMED, so I hope that never happens.

Understandable. I did consider not buying a founders package initially because I intend on primarly clan-alligned play. However, It was a deal I could not pass up, and offered me a unique oppertunity to support PGI/IGP. In addition, it has given me much to do while I wait for clans . I do not regret my 2 founders account purchases.

excellent idea !

I would gladly spend another 60$ on a "trueborn" package.
... and i happily choose the Madcat as my mech, spenc MC on mechbays, and possibly a clan legendary mech ( what i would suggest as the clan equivilent of IS hero mechs).

.. so why hasn't this happened already?

Funny thing.

When/if a Clan Founders program is available and they funnel in many more millions of dollars, we'll still have many of the problems we've had since Closed Beta.

To me that's hilarious.

I was there in closed beta too. Before most even. Some things take time (lots-0-time) to iron out. Fact is, all things considered we've not seen a battletech game of this caliber, in this genre...ever IMO and PGI/IGP are doing very well.

Why don't we see how things develop for a while before people throw more money at the game, I've watched it for a long time before I started playing and i'm not wholly convinced they are deserving of money yet. Lets see them deliver on some of their promises first.

Yes definitely! I prob. wont get the Legendary pacage, but I will be getting Elite. Seeing as I missed out on Founders because I had not yet played the game, I need something that will tell players that I have been playing this game since open Beta! (In ten years time!)

After seeing this information "PGI raised over 5$kk". I'm starting doubt that new pre-order program would deserve credit. Of course I don't know if mentioned info is correct enough, but anyway, so far I do not see AA++ class online game, what I see is lack of resources for ongoing improvements and balance adjustments, speaking not about new content successful development and deployment.

P.S. I do support OP idea and I would buy Legendary level pack for Clans - I want this game to shine, but I also want to be sure that given money are not traded for non-destructible environment and vertically sliding over hills sides multi-ton engines.

why should people pay AGAIN for part of the same game? People are gonna buy MC so they can get hold of Clan mechs quickly anyway. So no, this is one of the most stupid suggestions i have seen on this forum so far

Assuming what I consider to be large issues cuirrently in game are fixed by then, I would be very much up for a Trueborn Package. Just as I am not a Founder because R+R was "going to stay" and I saw it as an indirect P2W mechanic, the current issues are what keep me from investing as we speak as some of them are game breaking for any new player that might want to join us, meaning that investing money at present would be a very shortsighted move from my perspective...

Selling over 5,000,000 worth of packages back then with much-less interest and player-base was no small feat. Blowing "expected" numbers out of the water and setting the tone for other F2P titles showing the classic method is not the only way, yeah completely ignorant idea here. Do you honestly believe MC sales would trump package deals like this, if so you're ignorant and our discussion is over. I have a feeling arguing with you would be like talking to my pet rock. There is so much money to be made with what we have working already. This suggested program is one example that exemplifies that fact based on statistics from the same business model.
