Do You Want R&r Back In The Game?

I personally like R&R for the sheer virtue of it limited the number of assault mechs in a game.
It made me (primarily medium) happy to be able to run around and not have to worry about running into a large group of Atlas and getting bent over.
I honestly do not want everyone and their stepchild to voice their opinion, just vote and keep it short.

May it never return.
If they want to implement gameplay currency (Battle Value, Planetary Resources, etc.) in Community Warfare, I'm all for that, and have many ideas with what they could do.
But the content unlock currency (CBills) need to be divorced from gameplay and game balance.

Even better yet, I want to introduce maintenance costs and faction income in addition to it.
Faction income should be enough to maintain a stock AS7-K. Maintenance should be derived from the components that a mech has and if it was customized before.
Custom rides should have a maintenance/repair cost increase due to non-standard parts and reduced quality.

Search for "repair" in the thread.

However, i think with some reworks it was a reasonable and important part of the game. there is now no reason to play smart, just bull rush and slug it out. previously serious damage was serious C-bill reduction. now, who cares!

I voted I dont know, mostly because this is the very system I'd say they need to avoid. Whos going to do more Damage than splat kats and other cheese builds? Who's going to get more assists than a raven 3L? its encourages the already crap problems we have to deal with now. I will say I'm in favor of something that would limit the push back to heavy assaults we've seen but I dont know how to do myself. Any good suggestions are welcome.

Houses should have cheaper repairs on faction mechs for instance.

RR would largely remove splatcats from the game. i pilot one myself. and before with RR if i played poorly i would likely lose money even if my team won.

Or rather, yes, but not as previously implemented. The most important parts being:
1. You shouldn't lose money of a match
2. The cost shouldn't depend on how much damage you took/if you died in a match.
The first is a deterrent to playing at all, and the second encourages cowardly playing and disconnecting if things start to go badly.
This is how I think it should work, or something close to it: my idea

Which is very bad in a game with frequent connection issues and heavy crashing problems.
Again, discouraging playing at all.
When MWO crashes for me (about 1/20 games) I go do something else in maybe 50% of cases because I feel "god, that was a waste of time finding a match and playing half of it and then just crashing". If I also took a 80k or whatever bill for it, I'd probably not go back in quite a while. And I know many are like me with that.
When they get up a server in each part of the world and make the game so stable you never have to worry about crashes, that might work. Until then it'll just chase away loads of players that might already be on the edge due to these issues.

Agreed to some extent, but I think it can work as long as it's never higher than the match reward.
And trial 'mechs should be completely exempt from R&R. That way we might see more stock 'mechs even among the good players because they're most effective for grind (if you can manage to get good with the stock loadout).

CW, I feel, should be all about the loreplay whereas standard matchmaking is just for casuals, to get them dippin' their toes into the battletech universe.

Next time, just search for the previous thread and you'll have your answer.
Please stop trying to ruin the game. Thanks
