The other poll doesn't quite cut to the heart of the matter so I am starting a new one that is much more direct and clear.

You need an "I don't really give a **** - quit all of your f'n whining" option. When that is up, I'll vote.

I don't like the fact you and anyone else call it pay to win ... no one of us has tested it yet so how you already can call it pay to win?

http://mwomercs.com/...s-is-pay-2-win/

read as much of this discussion as you can

Main Points
MC consumable = 1 mod slot
C-bill equiv to MC =2 mod slots
-----------------=----------------
---------------P2W--------------

there done end of discussion this is pay to win if you cant see how an advantage however small isnt p2W then im sorry for you I really truely am. Not to late PGI/IGP please reconsider this implementation.

I stated this once ill state it again as a much much better implementation of the exact samr thin notice the very small differance.

T1= C-bill or MC
T2= C-bill or MC
T3= C-bill or MC

i dont understand this logic...by then it will be too late

Too late for what? It's beta. Nothing is set in stone. This is not the dire issue that you think it is. If coolant flush is such a horrible idea, and everyone quits. PGI will fix it. My prediction, everyone and their freaking brother will be running around with coolant flush by Thursday and all the bads will blame it for their losing ways.

You want my opinion of how I feel:

Actually I just made this up to mess with the OP.
See how crap works before you go and complain about it.
Because if I have to pay 150 MC for each coolant flush I would use in a day dude, I wouldn't be buying many for long...
I'd rather spend my money on premium time and then use the dual shots bought by C-Bills...

...But then again, WE DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH EACH IS GOING TO COST!!

What I think is that the comunity is getting itself worked up into a frenzy over little more than rumors, and should wait tomorrow, or the day after, before this kind of general outcry happen. At least we'll have real numbers then, and so practical experience.

For all we know, you're raging about something that will change the outcome of 0.05% of the matches.

So I'd take it you've tried the Gold AC20 ammo then, since you absolutely know we will have P2W consumables in MWO?

No, but the devs have announced Gold Airstrikes and Gold Artillery.

You are changing angles again. This is getting tiring.

End of last year, when some hiring posts showed up here, word was that around 60 - 70 guys work at Piranha. I don't know, if they all are on MWO now or also on Transformers and Need for Speed. However that amount of people will live a while on 5 million dollars.

I really doubt the venture capitalists, that paid for the licensing, server housing and initial development expect their money back before this game is outta beta...

I never compared PGI to Riot Games. I told you that there is a very profitable business model without relying on pay2win. Cosmetics, vanity and convenience go a long way.

If you again choose to spin around and bring other aspects to the table, I guess we have to agree to disagree here. In that case I will not answer again.

Funny how you think responding directly to things you say is moving teh goalposts. I'll take that as you tapping out.

Anyway, 5mil wouldn't pay 60 -70 guys for two years, assuming an average salary of 50k, which is probably low. That's ignoring all the other costs involved. It's simply not a lot of money.

And it's laughable to say that you weren't comparing MWO to LOL. When you bring up their business model and how successful it is, you're implicitly suggesting that MWO should do the same. I'm suggesting that you're pointing to a black swan.

No I don't because I'm not interested in providing a platform for people who hold that dumb opinion.

Most critical part I see is, that they ANNOUNCED it would NEVER be pay to win. This was one of the promises they made for the money founding. Now they got the money and they don´t keep their word. Luck for PGI that there was never a written contract for the founding ....

Paul Inouye has explained quite clearly how coolant flush is going to work. I suppose the development team divulged this information so that the community could discuss it or at least react to it. If you think otherwise: Why do you think they did post this information?

Just another QQ thread but even more so since it's not even live yet.

Oh you forget to add "DONT CARE ABOUT WHINERS" as an option to your poll.

So WHAT about consumables! OOOOoooooo I can cool myself by 35% either one shot or two. Whoopie! Don't care since a good loadout and pilot shouldnt care either. My slots will be filled with Air Strikes!

Yes, all of your arguments rely on facts that you do not have yet. That = baseless. Where is your data supporting your claims? You have none. Go home Chicken Little.

Depends on my EI cheque.

But my plan:
CBill Air Strikes during Fun Matches.
MC Air Strikes during Tourneys.
