Why would they go through all this effort just to announce a single mech, when they've done nothing of the sort for any of the previous?

Doesn't make an ounce of sense. Nobody at E3 is going to care about a big huge performance just to announce Mech 13: Whatever, when the last 12 were just thrown on the front page.

it would if it was an unseen

Which means exactly nothing to 99% of the people at E3. Hell, most Mechwarrior players probably don't even know what it was about. This garbage all happened years and years before most of our times.

Additionally, no real outcome of the legal fight was announced. They already showed an Unseen mech in their first trailer, then MW5 died and everyone thought they got shut down. Then they came back. At no point did they say 'yeah no unseen mechs'.

So at E3, they're going to announce the release of a mech that was actually the first mech we ever even saw from them, over a year ago? Yeah, that doesn't make an ounce of sense.

They're not on the E3.... at least very likely not.

If it's a mech, only a Battlemaster (since it's unseen) and Urbanmech could make them do such an announcement. :)

Not just clans, IS too. I think PGI has been keeping a rather big ace up its sleeve this entire time.

I think we'll be seeing a massive change in MWO at E3.

mech 5 did not get shut down becuase of that in fact that did not stop the project at all if you dont think that would be a big deal then you know nothing.

Quit 'sperging. Save your dysfunctional nerd rage for when someone rolls on your purps.

Fact: An unseen mech is not a big deal at E3. The publicity this would generate would be effectively nil to anyone who wasn't already interested in this project, which is not the point of E3.

if we look at it from a different perspective you could also single out the highlander. The highlander being a region in Scotland and if I remember my history right part of the British empire during medieval Europe. Its most likely they used bows in that region in there day to day lives to some extent.

'Highlander' refers to people who come from the highlands of Scotland. They were not especially known for being archers, so much as being very, very poor, with a heavy cultural emphasis on warriors and raiding. Basically imagine Arkansas hillbillies with Scottish accents and kilts, and you're there.

Hmm. Was there any transmission received in 3049 having to do with the Clans? I know its 3050 that the Kell Hounds run afoul of them in the Periphery, but were there any sort of scattered transmissions? Maybe a scrambled image of a map, or even a design?

Phelan Kell did transmit footage of his combat with Vlad Ward's Timber Wolf. This was intercepted by ComStar, who codenamed the 'Mech 'Mad Cat'.

edit: That or its going to be an official release date.

Clan invasion is still months away..not Clans.

Has anyone lined up the white lines, adding in today's picture yet?

Well, as I've done with the previous ones, I found a way to fit the new pic into the rest. At first I thought it'd be in the middle, but that just doesn't fit. It went better on the end.

Im going to laugh maniacally if a mad cat shows up tomorrow. Im and IS fanboy through and through, but the fun of blowing up clan mechs is.... invigorating.

Only thing is that the top left picture doesn't really fit at all. The "watermark" line is noticeably thicker in the second picture.

The warrior spirit is alive and well in Scotland, as illustrated by the man who damaged his foot by kicking a burning terrorist in the balls with more fury than the human body can handle.

But I digress...

Its the boundaries of the Periphery. Look at Blackstone, specifically, on the INner Sphere map.
