Well, if the background images are just jumbled together from existing mechs, then I guess it's the bright lines we're supposed to be focusing on. When you put them all together, maybe it will form a clan logo or something.

It does look like there's some form of logo being drawn by all the images if you look at that bright line.

I've been finding a lot of the mech speculation strange, since any photoshop work people use to base claims on never surfaces and most of the bits of the images have been shown to be previously release mechs. And regardless, it has been irritating seeing every little chance at speculation turn into people wanting some unseen or clanner mech.

Artemis is a web-based Mechlab that ties in the forum user (who is the pilot) and can read from your garage, allow you to customize and build Mechs, and manage your account. It will be released in an early state and offer more features towards integration with the game as time progresses.

That would be pretty cool tbh

Cyclops.

OH SH*T that would be amazing! that was my all time favorite board game mech that never made it into the video games ( as far as i know)

PLEASE Cyclops Battlemech please!

especially since it could fill a role that the Awesome or atlas currently don't fill in that the Cyclops was a command center assault mech. it would be awesome if the Cyclops traded some if it's assault pummeling for command and control assets (passive buffs to targeting / or damage for other mechs inside a radius of he Cyclops. lore friendly and would promote a turtle style mentality that may or may not be lacking in the current beta pvp landscape of MWO.

ooh.. nerd gasm.

sorry about the multi post but off your little compilation it kinda looks like the circular map of the Innerphere. maybe it's MWOs over archering meta game map. maybe it's called operation Artemis and the reveal is the Conquest map feature.

I'm hoping it's something bigger and better than "Battlemech 12".

What a waste of a marketing opportunity, I mean...look at all the buzz the Artemis page created.

E3 officially runs the 5th through the 7th... the MS, EA, Sony, (Ubisoft?) etc.. pressers today, are just trying to get early hype.. the official Expo starts tomorrow.

What if instead of Artemis being so much game content related, it is a gaming device they have partnered to develop particularly for MWO?

what are the chances Artemis is a garbled transmission about initial clan incursions? They did happen in the outskirts first and there were reports iirc.

Just a thought

^I think this man has brought up an epic point.
I mean, what if it's a scout lance getting torn apart by some clanners?
Seriously.
Mind=blown if so.

I know the Kell Hounds encountered the Wolves on The Rock in 3049. What month was it?

Some things of note when it comes to simply looking at the images, starting with the most obvious:
- Each whole image is made up of a collection of smaller pixulated images from what seems to be already released media
- Overlaying all of this is some sort of light-line...stuff that seems to bear some importance (yea i don't have the vocab for this sort of thing  , bear with me)
- The smaller images, and their configurations are reused
- Additionally, ignoring the light-line stuff, the image seems to be zooming out (for example - compare the very first image and the last one and you'll notice that the smaller pixulated images are just about half the size of what they started out as)

I'm no photoshop/gimp/mspaint wizard so trying to line things up with the repeated parts of the image is a bit of a pain but at least i can resize everything so that the smaller images are all the same. Still, maybe this will give someone who's a touch more savvy in that department an idea of what to look for that I can't ;)

Edit - A VERY rough image I messed about with to help illustrate what I meant. It's not super to scale or anything of that sort, but here it is anyways

August. We have a while for that. But the Periphery's been getting chewed up for about five months or so.

What you've got there looks like the PGI skull logo, at the bottom of every page. Someone posted that idea a few pages back based on my work. It's got potential to be dead-on.

Edit: On the other hand, the thicknesses of the lines combine rather poorly in yours (no offense). If they went through the trouble to make the lines a certain thickness, why'd they have such a strong discontinuity in them?

(On one of my connection's there is a thickness difference and it bugs me, but it's pretty small.)

In canon I dont think there were any leaks of the invasion until august of 3049. PGI isnt going to create hints about it early as that would change canon history which they stated they wouldnt do.

Yes and no. The Rock was the first time a major power encountered the Clans that the IS cared about. ComStar actually found them a while ago, but their ship was captured. That was one of the primary triggers for the invasion, and at that point they started chewing up some Periphery worlds. Reports had come in, but they were discounted. Either way, no clans at this point.
