I think some of you are over-thinking this a tad too much.

He meant literally. As in type in '3d' into the prompt. It takes you to a non-live sample of Paul's profile page.

Yup, they are actively adding/removing content from the image instead of just "clarifying" and reshuffling the existing bits. It's an effort to make us all say "It's A COMMANDO!!!" prematurely...

There are some pieces carried over, such as that triangle-shaped gray thing with the black stripe, and the "whatever structure" on the right side with a white background (looks kinda like a MatCat's Leg...). You'll notice that the fuzzy little background Atlas is now gone, as well as the "commando arms". Also, the overall resolution of individual pieces is higher.

Actually, I believe the image was just flipped 180 degrees, and shifted down (south) one horizontal line.

If you use the bright while/yellow square on the left as a reference, you can see that that squares above and below it, as well as the horizontal line it occupies, are all still the same, simply flipped upside down. Using that as a reference, you can see that the top 1/3 of the the squares in the new images are still the same, just flipped.

My guess - given that there are now more squares, and a higher resolution, is that it's a collage, composed of hundreds (or thousands) of smaller images, that will slowly zoom out as the timer counts down.

Yep you are right. It could be a collage.

My uneducated guess is this will be the system that allows people to register their Merc Corps. Probably going to need to get that system populated so you test some things during the open beta.

The whole picture has now changed. The white block that was in the upper right corner that showed a torso and arm of a mech has flipped and there is another white block in the center that looks like 2 mech side by side. Also everything else in the pic like the pieces from the other mech has changed as well.
