The problem with the Urbie is the fact that it cant have ECM

Eventually it does :)

UM-R80 (3076) - This variant carries a Snub-Nose PPC, Small Pulse Laser, TAG, Beagle Active Probe, and Guardian ECM Suite. It retains the Small Laser of the standard UrbanMech as well. Improved Jump Jets help the UrbanMech move around the city it defends more effectively.

"What should we put on our latest line of UrbanMechs, sir?"

"All of the things."

Ok...as much as I love the nostalgia effect of the Urbie, I just want one in the game so I can shoot the crap out of it. And at the same time, I want an Urbie in the game so I can run with it, kill people (if possible) and once I kill 'em, deride them as being terrible in the game because they got owned my incredible skill and because it is an Urbanmech. The insult to injury factor would be huge for people if they got killed by an Urbanmech.

Add to it I know many in the DHB would be using Urbanmechs for Drunkship nights as we'd all be running either 8 or 12 mans where we all had Urbanmechs.

Nice art!

You would have to make it very interesting to get folks to buy it. Make it do things other mechs can't

-360-degree, very fast torso twist.
-180-degree arm rotation
-Stop on a dime
-Very fast acceleration
-Up armor it, "Tank Urban Survival Kit (TUSK)" kind of thing
-Side step
-Torso lean
-ECM
-Low (read no) heat signature

Cute Kitten Eyes!

Made a minute correction to your description.

Urbie may not be the meanest mech out there, but if you want a challenge, Urbie can provide it. I think in some maps (eg River, Frozen) Urbie can make the enemy feel like they've been in a fight.

That would be impossible to do in 15 minutes on Alpine.

They had an AWESOME map in MWLL where you had HUGE buildings where mechs would use jumpjets to land on. Gimme that and tiny cramped alleys for my Urbie to sneak out and do ambushes before fading into the dark again.

dunno given their shape, get one at the top of one of those peaks and watch it roll downhill- could get some decent speed going there. <pictures a big snowball with the end of an AC10 sticking out of it at the opposing side's base>

I will paint my Urban with Camo and put Che Guevara's face on it if so. Urban Guerilla Warfare.

With 360 torso spin it could run and point the AC20 backwards and use the recoil to propel itself faster.

Would buy - simply because it's not worth it but they look AWESOME.

The one with the axes would be named "Raging Halfpint"

MG variant would be "Hailstorm" and the last one "Neighbourhood Cop"

Just make the Urbanmech cost 100million C-billls and 50,000 GXP.

Really, it would make it a complete novelty item, that is obtainable, but not easily.

Make it suck just as much as it always has. But it should be a novelty mech. IF you see one in a game, well, you know that guy is a dedicated player who EARNED that mech. Grinded it out and poured his blood sweat and tears into it. Over what? A non optimum light mech that dies easy.

Then once better matchmaking is in, you can have elite "urbanmech only" matches.

The only thing good about this Mech is it has a 360 Torso tern on it,in short its a gun turret with lags.
The prob with it is its a one shot kill and its slow.
If it had ECM and jump jets a UAC5 with a ML and move at 100Kph and was a hero mech I buy it.
Other than that Nop not a chance in hell would I blow Cbill on it.
