It's simple, they complain it will be a liability for the team its in... But they are basically afraid that, just an average pilot in Urbie can smash their fancy stalkers and other great invincible machines to the dust... and it will be just to cheesy to come here and shout on forums that Urban Mech is OP
they fear the Urbies super secret Small Laser of DOOM........

The urbie we get might have 100 engine.
Cannon is Urbie exists. In some games urbie is like the grunt foot soldier mech, very common.
Everyone who cries about this being a simulator but doesn't want urbanmech makes no sense. Its like if in a pacific WWII flight sim they dont want wildcat, but the truth is it was wildcats vs zeros.
If you don't know how to fly a WILDCAT your going to say its a horrible plane.
URBANMECH is the WWII WILDCAT. Without URBANMECH, you are missing out on mechwarrior.
The wildcat was slow.....tubby......but can punch. And if anyone pilots this thing without knowing how they would swear up and down it is the most horrible plane. Especially if your fighting against its rival the japanese ZERO.
Same goes for URBANMECH.
Heres a vid I found on you tube, this is a raven ac/20 urbie.
THIS.....THIIIIIIIS.... Urbanmech should be able to do this, be just a slow, maybe a little slower or faster, with JJs and some mean load outs. Sure he's a tiny trashcan with limited armor, but he should shine when around some of the bigger tossers. Urbie is an icon, and can fill a role as soon as you find it for him. URBIE VICTRIX!

I like your Enthusiasm. After I get a 4.0 smoothed out, I might start doing customs off of it.
4.0 will probably be mostly based off 2.0, but with the head of the 3.0, and a slightly upscaled cannon, since it's over 1/3 of the mech's mass.

Version 3...... sorry for quality, my camera and I did not agree this morning, and tbh, the original IS only about an inch tall.. will clean it up when I get back to the States.
going for the Bunker window, and showing some other torso ideas.
Version 2 is definitely the best one still (well, other than the Cop Car ).
My OCD beefs this time around:
A. Cannon arm too big again (looks like a Heavy Gauss Rifle or larger)
B. Those "spikey" parts on the right leg are probably an unintentional error
C. Multiple toes on Urbie feet don't seem to fit his style (the classic "clown shoes" are more fitting)
Other than that it does seem to fit the "R2D2" mojo of the original Urbie much more closely. Version 2 with bunker windows installed would probably be perfect.

Thanks for the critiques.
A couple of things:
1) the spikes are ladder rungs. The resolution is just to horrible. Remember, an Urbanmech is only about 6 meters tall, hence the ladder looks lot larger.
2) the cannon. An Urbanmech is 30 tons. And about 6 meters tall, or less than half the height of a Centurion. So the AC/10 weighs 12 tons, or near to 40% the total mass of the mech. So an AC/10 is gonna look a lot bigger compared to a Centy. So, stylistically it might not seem "realistic" but it actually SHOULD look huge.

I do think you should stick with the feet of your V2 though. Same said for the V2's arm (is it an arm? or just a laser on a swivel? I'll stick with arm) for that blocky "OH NOES, A LAS-oooh it's just a small laser". (Insert obligatory "why battletech sucks" youtube video, with dat double digit dice roll) But that's personal preference. Keep up the good work Bishop.

And a button for the obligatory "FREEZE YOUR UNDER ARREST!" soundbite when you have sneaked up behind someone.
Or perhaps:
I take your Dirty Harry and raise you Judge Dredd. Since the Heavy Metal can play sound effects upon a kill, why not have Police Urbie shout "I AM THE LAW!!!" as loud as possible whenever it gets a kill/assist?
Also, I <3 Urbie, bobble head is only cockpit item I've bought (still think it was a dirty play PGI ) and I can say a Hero Urbie would be the only hero mech I would 100% definitely buy.

Firing ( or rather watering ) at friendly mech increase its heat dispersion by 5%
Water tanks could be limited but able to be refilled by standing in water...
Hell tell me any PPC Stalker wouldn't like to have one law enforcement officer close by him
Imagine the OP cry out...
Sorry if someone posted that idea before... didn't go through topic in full
