And did you just blast all the assaults with LRMs that seem to be filling bases these days? They tend not to even shoot back if you light up their backsides.

With Elo, having premades on your side can actually be a liability since lots of premades will have one good player and 3 braindead players who die before they can get a second alpha off.

The funny thing is that your team's average score was 46 and the other team's average score was 36.7.
Also, your team's average damage was 279.62 and theirs was 301.25. I guess the difference between a win and a loss can really be as little as 21 points of damage.

Edit: Duh, I thought your team had lost. Still, interesting that the other team outdamaged you and still lost.

I hate this game 100% more than I did two weeks ago, at least, when pugging.

In the 1st Royals, we have the thesis, that if you PUG in a 4 premade, only the highest ELO counts.

Because I get screwed over 100% more in PUG games than ever before. 4 out of 5 times I have 4+ sub 100 damage teammates.

A challenge does not equate to getting dicked over with teammates that don't know how to play the game in mass quantities while the other team is full of average to above average players. One mech can't kill the entire enemy team when they're focusing on you alone.

Granted, if they supplied zellbrigen then I might get a few but... most teams wouldn't dare do that.

The Elo of a group is an average of all the members of the group. So if you have three group members with, say, an Elo of 3000 each and one group member with an Elo of , say, 500 that means that your group's Elo will be 2375. Now the system is going to place you in a match with a target Elo at around 2375. So now you're in a high level match and you've brought along dead weight. Your 500 Elo group member is going to be completely useless and you might as well have dropped one man short. The only hope you have is that the other team also has a premade that has also dragged a useless player into the high level match.

The way around this is to match the skill level of each member of the premade so that there is no dead weight. This simple trick will enable you to go back to your pre-elo pugstomping since good pugs who aren't talking are far more likely to be rolled by a good premade that is talking.

Elo broke casual 4 man pugstomping but if you are mindful of the skill level of each member of your four man, you can still stomp the crap out of pugs and harvest their sweet tears of rage and disappointment.

On the surface that appears to be a clever pithy remark, but it's entirely possible that PGI screwed up Elo and it's systematically placing certain types of players together at a rate greater than chance.

I **** you not, yesterday I saw an atlas pilot, turning his hurting side to the enemy mech doing some new type of dogfighting.
He had 1 gauss 5 energy weapons, and it seemed he forgot about all others but the gauss. The enemy mech was orange ct, he would of killed it with 1 alpha and had 3% heat all along, but he was constatly turning hes one side to him and trying to shoot him with gauss. This went on for half a minute, and finally the atlas went down, to a side torso shot, he apparently had an XL.
