What mech would you build to stomp the Clans? Draw your ultimate weapon in paint and post below.

EDIT: This is by MWO Rules

Note: the height is in reference to this game, where apparently atlas are only 5m tall.

Knowing I couldn't match a clan mech's performance pound for pound, I'd mostly likely try to develop a heavy weapons platform that was not disadvantaged against more agile mechs. Something like a stone rhino with 4 legs and a 360 degree turret. I'd screen for these mechs with something like a Firefly, or something equally cheap, fast an small. For my fireflies I'd forgo their standard armament in lieu of tons of explosives and use them as anti mech kamikazes.

I doubt my pilots could match the clan's even 2 to 1, in any mech, but at least with kamikaze mechs I they could be fought 1 to 1 and the clans have far fewer men to lose.

The future direction of warfare is going to be imminently drone heavy.

Battletech is battletech. If you start messing around with the mech formula, it stops been battletech, and starts been some other unrealistic mecha thing ™. I mean, if you're going to go absurd, why stop at that sort of absurdity? Just straight up say; I want a 10cm target with 10ppcs and 20 LRMs and 100 DHS. That'll kill mechs big time.

On the flipside... that's kinda the direction that warfare is going anyway. Highly effective, highly expendable, tiny drone targets with advanced object recognition AI with strategic cloud AI access with high explosives; essentially smart guided bomblets that can be launched from anything; deployed from a cruise missile if it calls for it.

If the explosive is powerful enough, it'll blow up tanks and all manner of ground targets; guided smart explosives that can latch themselves onto weak areas before blowing up; it'll be the ultimate in warfare... and none of it will involve mechs of any sort.

I can't draw mine, or the sheer devestating beauty of it would blind half the forums and deflower a large portion of the other half.

It's aesthetics would be largely irrelevant; but it would somewhat resemble a hedgehog carrying 20 medium lasers.

BT doesnt really have many competent engineers that can design new 'mechs anymore at the time of the Clan invasion. That's why most of the canon designs are crap and shouldn't be held up by TT grognards as the pinnacle of gameplay design.

The first problem at MWO is the Equip that some Mechs can use.
Sure an Raven 3L with 3 LL and a speed at 130 kp/h? WTF.
Catapults with 6 SRM6 o_O the Catapult is an medium/long range support Mech no Brawler kill easely Assaults without any danger.

I dont fear Assault Mechs in my Light Mech after taking a Alpha strike i laugh and slowly laser him to death part by part.

The second problem are this fast Torso movements in light and medium Mechs.

The third problem are this damn little Maps.

The guys here should more play MWLL to see what a Mechgame have to look and to feel like.

It's proven to be quite the effective design for stopping every western mech since 1988.

I'd build an a-10 and arm it with AGM-65s and knock out mechs 22 km away.

Yes, we need more open space to ignore. I love when it takes 4 months before people spot 'little details' like the waterfall on forest colony, and the boat on frozen.

It's out in the water, frozen solid. You'll only ever see it on conquest.

I would put a bomb in the ECM's internals, so when another ECM (enemy) comes in range .. they both explode in a nuclear meltdown
