Couple that with broken hitbox issue for the cockpits, broken splash damage, and a preponderance of 'direct fire mechs' that everyone is testing out resulting in an LRM boat's paradise and you have... well ... let's call it 'forum splatter.'
I still advocate a buff to AMS though a reduction in LRM damage is probably in order, or a return to pre-patch damage levels.
OK, splash is an issue which is affecting head shot and core hit box. Do not change hit boxes just get rid of splash. Otherwise it would be taking it to far and lrms then become useless like machine guns.
As for AMS yes needs a buff.
As for ECM needs the nurf bat of line of sight mechs should be able to be shot ... really he is 200 meters away and I see him ... I can shoot him? REALLY? REALLY!?!?!?!?!
Other than that not bad.
Hey guess what they said they would get rid of splash next patch. So hot patch or 2 weeks? Please be 2 weeks.

It was good last patch current patch has caused splash to be an issue and then add that with less ECM and then add that with jager mechs need a rework on head hit box ... equates out to an issue which can be resolved with a change to ONLY splash and the head hit box of a jager mech. Other people complain about hit boxes on other mechs are referring to splash issue or they really are dumb enough to take lrms to the face.

Just played two match, first match a Raven needed only 6 ssrm's to kill my full armor jenner, second match I got hit by one salvo of lrm's that instantly killed my full armor jenner. AMS didn't even help and it was just one mech that fired one volley. This game rewards lazy people that can't aim, these weapons can overpower anyone that doesn't use a mech with ecm. And seeing how I don't like the ECM mechs, I can't even play this game... such a shame that this game keeps dissapointing, I guess that I will just have to give up on Mechwarrior untill we get a proper new game in a few years. These devs are clearly not up for the job or don't have the needed resources and funds to make a working and balanced game.

As for your Jenner ... are you taking the shots to the face? and do you have ammo stored there? If so you could be running into explosion due to weaker armour and then further damage. Also there is the current splash issue which will be fixed; two weeks or hot patch?

LRM 10: Hit = 2366 damage = 6458 . 6458 / 2366 = 2.73 damage per missile
LRM 15: Hit = 3016 damage = 8454 8454 / 3016 = 2.80 damage per missile.
Conclusion: Missiles are doing ~1.0 damage more (2.8 instead of 1.8),

Medium and Heavy mechs are wrecked in two volleys.
Light mechs are lucky to survive the first volley.
Hundreds of missiles all arc on the same spot as soon as a teammate has a lock, and the target dies immediately. It's insane.
it's pretty obvious there's waaaaaayyyyy too much damage going on here.

Only hope they don't make them as bad as machine guns but because they have it listed in both splash (since missiles explode) and a separate bullet point they probably will go hard core after it.

Imagine that, the LRM apologist hoping that they don't go TOO hard after missiles.
Look, there's a serious problem when an LRM boat can alpha strike me and kill me in one shot even when I'm behind cover. Stop trying to deny it.

your points are totaly lame and how can a camper Auto lock noob can be better then those who play in field of fire. do you why LRM was kept at bay so everyone doesnot become a lame LRM noob and after this patch i see significant increase in LRM usage actully full LRM users nothing else which is b.s u have 1 ECM raven that can easily help u take out whole team without seeing what you actually hitting thats a **** game if u ask any pro

-i cleaned my Stlaker STK-5M
-loaded LRM20 x 2 LRM15 x 3 which actaully makes the firepower 173 or something its huge enough
Result Atlas Down in hardly 3rd volley not even all hit before he touched the ground heavies droping instantly
before when i tested this config i had reach 500dmg total maybe but now 800-900 straight without even joing the fight
conclusion this is pathetic and hopeless its like those missles now pack some nukes
we need a fix on this crap NOW NOW NOW

Seems almost everyone is abusing the lrms now.
I never liked lrms and ill be damned if i start using/abusing them now.
Anyway, i found a way to enjoy myself again. Hopped in my atlas, put a 360 engine in, ECM, 3x Artemis srm's 6, AC20 and medium lasers. I ignore the group (cause most of my teammates are lrm abusers anyways..) and go lone wolf and try to get behind the enemy lrm abusers (which there are plenty of) I get in there face and 2 shot them. Heavy mechs take 3-4 shots. I actually blew up a 100% armor atlas in 4 shots just now.
srms also seem to be affected by this patch. it's crazy. Anyway, my point is instead of raging and not enjoying your game, make a build to counter lrms and try to have some fun that way. It's the only way your going to enjoy yourself until a hotfix comes. Either that or join the mindless hordes of lrm boats. Allot of these people are heaving tremendous fun abusing this bug and nothing pleases me more to get in there face and 2 shot them.
Last match was in the new map (which is gods given gift to lrm boats), i walked all the way around and climbed a mountain where there were 3 lrm abusers. I got in there face and killed all 3. God, i cant tell you how good that felt after 30+ games of rage and being pwned by lrms.
Short version: Hate lrms? Make an anti build and hf.
