The game hasn't changed for me at all with the coolant being around. And in less than 24 hours we're getting a hotfix for the missile bug. A twitter screenshot doesn't confirm anything either.
And as for the paid MC thread? It's no better than this one. Constructing massive panicky threads based off of 1 line of rumor won't get us anywhere useful. When they release real information, feel free to discuss how it sucks, but wait until we have details and not rumors.

The advantage of 3rd person is not just seeing the enemy around corners and so forth. It is also being able to see the terrain around you. It give you a massive advantage of situational awareness when it comes to moving. The only way to block that would be to not render nearly all the screen. that would be horrid.

There is a massive difference in game play design. What you listed was a business and economic design, not gameplay design.

I never said I planned to quit any time soon. But if you don't think I'm going to fight bad game design decisions every step of the way, you're dead wrong.

Threads like this can be reactionary and alarmist, but ideally they show the community and the developers beyond a shadow of a doubt that players feel strongly about many aspects of the game, and the game as a whole. There are many who couldn't really care one way or another as long as they can shoot big stompy mechs with their big stompy mechs, but those who are passionate will do their best to constructively criticize and encourage the growth of the game, and the developers should recognize this. This isn't baseless hate-mongering. The soft touch isn't working, so people are going to go in strong and harsh. People want to see this game flourish and become the best it can be. I want to see it happen too.

Then fight it, don't fight me, I basically said the same thing you did except I'll accept it if they ultimately go live with it.
Just think about it, more new people to shoot at in the long run.
