I wanted community warfare, but this is ridiculous!

sarcasim of course, but I am very opposed to third person view. Make a few mechs capable of UAV, could be a pausible solution. Do not know how it should be implemented though.

Yeah its needed here because 3rd person view will destroy the game while ECM is just something that need balancing. After 3rd person view is implemented, there will be no way back.
They can surprise us and somehow implement it in a way that prevents looking around corner and whatnot but I would be surprised if they manages to do that.

Why do people say this? Do you realize this represents significant time, energy, and effort on PGI's part to develop, bugtest, bugfix, and "balance" a new feature like 3rd person cam? There's a whole mess of technical problems that need to get fixed. If PGI is busy working on a 3rd person camera no one bloody wants, they -aren't- working on other features that we DO want, like Community Warfare, improved netcode, and performance fixes.
If they did those things they'd have a good hot game on their hands instead of a bargain bin rack game. Can't have that.

It was more of a tongue in cheek response, lighten up... But you can sure hit the report button if you want. More power to ya buddy.
Adding fuel to the fire when people are already really pissed off is very poor decision, especially for a moderator. The post by the yellow in this thread should have made that clear.

Are you sure this is right thread to come into and inject some snark? Given what the atmosphere already is here?
Didn't work out so well for that guy on Page 1.

They can take the game in any direction they want, it is their game. I simply have no interest in playing Mech Assault personally.

I am not sure the community volunteers are supposed to represent the company. They are just guys that handle moderation stuff, and their opinions and snark is their own, and their information about the secret plans of PGI is probably as non-existent as ours.

Pretty much this. And I wasn't being snarky, I was trying to lighten up the mood with a joke since it's getting heated around here

It doesn't work that way.
When you're a moderator, even if just a volunteer mod, the public perception is your opinions represent those of whoever you work for, or are at least sanctioned by them, there are responsibilities and expectations that come with the position, and your conduct will, rightly or wrongly, reflect on the conduct of PGI as a whole.

You may as well not bother. Their mouths are foaming and they're seeing red; anything short of the developers coming here and grovelling for forgiveness while insisting they were right all along isn't going to stop them from their runaway irrationality.
