Notice how your large font is still not a clear position on this matter one way or the other. Never, or later rather than sooner? Training Grounds or split-queue?

The dustup from your PR Twittermonkey, amplified by some IGP suit who knows even less PR basics, was precisely because it doesn't specify either/or but simply an indeterminate possible point in the near future. All you have done with this post is moved that point to a vague area beyond the near future. Not much difference from the tweet except the font.

It's in the works for inclusion to X degree or it isn't. Say so.

It's hard enough to get the matchmaker to set up well balanced matches. Splitting the community will only make it harder.
Also, once the mode is officially in the game, someone will figure out a way to hack it and use it in 1stPersonOnly servers.

I'm curious how they could implement 3rd person view and NOT have it be an advantage. You'd be able to see more of what's going on. A good portion of being a good pilot is situational awareness. Knowing what your enemies and teammates are doing, etc. Having a viewpoint external to the mech would be an advantage as it would improve how much you could see of the world while piloting your mech. It also goes against the whole "sim" feel this game is supposed to have.

Just my 2 cents.
