Yes, boating pilots will kill this game. I played the TT for more than two decades and ballance was always the key to long-term motivation. I hope PGI will find a way to ballance the game efficiently!!!

how would clan second line mechs work? they are not omnimechs, they are basically inner sphere mechs with clan weapons.

Whether or not this this a good idea, it is way too late in the development cycle to implement changes of this magnitude to the hard point system.

Also, your post is incredibly difficult to read.

TLDR- make the hardpoints more restrictive to give variety to each chassis
