For all the "my poor LRM QQ'ing","I can't one shot anyone anymore whilst herp derping" in this thread has anyone looked at the percentage values via in game testing, or Testing Ground. I have at least done the TG part,and tomorrow I will get help with the ingame testing
I.E. 3 LLaser shots is 27 damage (preferably in the leg or somewhere the missles won't hit), now shoot the same mech with 1 SRM 6 or LRM 15 which is supposed to do 12 or 15 damage with current values. Record the percentage lost with each of the weapon systems. Also, only shoot on fresh armor never the internals, restart TG if neccessary to do this.
Percentages to an Atlas D before, 3% for 3 LLaser shots, 4%-6% for a single SRM6 or LRM 10; after hot fix in the testing grounds 3 Large Laser shots did 3% damage to an atlas, the LRM 15 and the SRM 6 (one shot a peice) the average damage was 2%-4%.
Percentages to an Awesome Q before, 4% for 3 LLasers, 8%-14% for a single SRM6 or LRM 10; after hot fix in the testing grounds 3 Large Laser Shots did 4%, for one shot from a SRM6 or LRM 15 3%-6% was the average range of damage
The list can go on but why bother..... the simple fact was that the Splash Damage bugs were making anything 80 tons and down far more fragile than they should have been, while Atlai's and Stalkers suffered as well,it wasn't anywhere near as bad. The real problem is LRM boaters got used to face rolling their opponents, and now that they can't,they say its broke.
ITS A BUG,IT WAS BROKE TO BEGIN WITH...my condolances to those who wish to still abuse it.....
Are missles fixed in there current state, no they need work, and I'm willing to bet they will get it in short order.
Side note: LRM 40's boats with the splash damage bug, as it was, were hitting for 120 to 200 actual damage on average............
now I know I have seen some LRM 80 Stalkers so think about that...............
