I feel your pain...im only a bit over 1 Mil myself right now.

Having 20+ mechs makes me sleep easier at night though.

Do you buy a Ferrari and then go bitching at your Opel dealer just because they won`t go into the impound lot and remove the engine every time the car gets impounded (=locked into a game) and put it into your Corsa? Do you think it would actually help to do so?

Didn`t think so . :)

Well, if you just had to buy everything once, what would be the point of playing after a few months? "Well I bought every single weapon and engine in the game, and can make my mechs however I want to. I'm getting bored, now that there isn't any reason to play and grind c-bills..."

Why is this concept so difficult to grasp? I ALREADY DO NOT HAVE A REASON TO BUY MULTIPLES. I can already run which ever chassis I want with the single sets of equipment I own and I'm going to continue to do that because spending my money on duplicates would be a colossal waste. Having auto swaps would not change my c-bill spending behaviour at all! It would not save me any c-bills! Geez!

It's convenience over work.

If you want something in this world, you earn it. And buying things (as in life) is the basis of an economy. the OPs suggestion would completely destroy the need for an in game economy, or any benefit for faction perks.

I have one of everything, guess I'll go pay (insert new title here). Not a good basis for player retention.

What economy are you talking about? There is no economy in this game and even if there was, auto swaps would have zero effect on it. ZERO.

Why are everyone still talking about c-bill prices when they are completely irrelevant? Even if that second 300 XL cost only 500k, I would not buy another one because that 500k is better spent on stuff I don't have, which as of now is still basically everything. Only if stuff was literally almost free would it make me actually buy duplicates.

So what? You want convenience because you're too tight to spend c-bills on new equipment? No. Buy yourself a new engine or deal with having to swap. You have two chassis, you can either swap an engine between them, or own two engines. You can't use the same single engine in both. It's both ridiculous and against the laws of physics.

Gawd, the entitlement in these forums is ridiculous!

Edit: Also you do have a reason to buy multiples; you want to run two mechs with the same size engine. That's your reason right there, you just don't like it.

It's a problem when new players feel that the grind to proceed isn't fun enough to do. That's a bad problem for a f2p game to have. It means that they aren't developing habituation and they're burning out their new player base in the grind.

Agreed, the grind is harsh for new players way way too harsh. Also I'll be the first to admit it.... The Cadet Bonus IT DOES NOTHING!

Completely disagree.

I've been playing just over a week now, I bought my 3rd mech last night along with all upgrades and parts and still had 1.5 mill left.

At the end of my cadet time I had more t then enough to buy my first mech with all upgrades and weapons.

Sure if you insist on buying the most expensive mech and the most expensive weapons you won't be able to afford it. Start out smaller and work your way up.

To those people who refuse buy two of anything
What are you going to spend your cbills on when you own every mech you want? There is no money sink in the game, at least not yet.

Any that`S why my bro that just started this afternoon at quarter past 4 and logged out at 10 is now driving a Stalker with DHS, Endo steel and a custom loadout? Because the bonus is useless and it takes too long? No Premium bonus on him, btw....

10 million bills in less than a day.. anybody that consioders that useless is, IMO, not playing the same game that I am, or maybe just wants WoW style achievements and freebies just for logging in instead of actually playing.... Dunno...

6 Hours is too long? Really? I used to play games where it took you 10 times that just to read the fricking manual and understand the basic mechanics....

He doesn't want to have to do that, He thinks that he should be able to buy any piece of equipment and have that one item installed on every mech he owns.

Since you can only use one mech at a time, what difference does it make?

Disconnect from a match before the end (after death, for ex.) and try to join another match with a mech that has no engine, and you will see the difference it makes.

And that is why it should not go anywhere. It opens teh game up to the "buy 1 mech chassis, buy more identical chassis, sell the components from all but one, and go macro farming MechXP and C-bills with 10-15 mechs at a time.... making everyone complain about constant DCs at the beginning of the match once again.

I can not think of a better reason to disallow it than what boils down to "It will **** up everyone else`s day on a regular basis" :)

It means you only have to buy everything in the game as many times as you need to outfit one Mech.

Need ML's for your new Chassis? Don't worry, you've already bought 6 for a previous Mech, so no need to spend money.

Need a 300XL? No worries, you bought a Treb 3C earlier, so now all your Mechs can run that engine.

It's dumb. If you want to run two Mech's with 300XL's you either swap them or buy a second engine. It takes away pretty much all the fun of working towards goals and earning that super kitted Mech you've dreamed of.
