If we follow the OP, then we should drop our PPCs, too, because those are just hot long-range weapons and useless in the absence of good long-range Thermal.

So... everybody equip Medium Lasers for brawling in Tourmaline?

Laser Warrior is already here. Ballistics don't have host state rewind yet. Most of the time I see the shots either do nothing, or pass straight through them.

The new vision modes, going by the design, is fair. Fair in the way that thermal isn't the go-to for most situations.

Collisions were taken out because they were a part of the net code. Considering they totally revamped the net code and collisions were the the final stage, of course it's taken months. They will most likely be re-implemented in the next month or two. Not positive, but I think Ask A Dev 34 said something akin to that.

Missiles, current damage is temporary. Deal with it. I am sure it'll go back up or have some sort of adjustment. Be it on the 2nd or later, well so be it. Point is I'd rather have a good solid fix than a 'please the whiny people' hotfix that needs to be hotfixed, then hotfixed again, then another hotfix, etc. I'd rather their time be used making it right rather than making a ton of hotfixes. If it means I have to wait longer, so be it.

Vision modes, I am looking forward to those. Camo will be useful. Thermal won't be the new radar like it is now AND it's clearer, so I can tell if I am hitting front or back armor. Nightvision will rock. And anyone using thermal at night, well, I know some good hiding spots.for thermal. Finally normal vision during the daytime will be *gasp* useful again and that leads back to the camo part. A camo'ed scout, hiding in some trees with BAP, ECM, and sensor range module at 800m will be freaking awesome at spotting. Finally scouts will be able to actually scout/spy properly.

if we didnt play 75% of our games in either night/dark or snowy/rainy maps then we wouldn't have to use thermal vision..i mean they may as well just made the game in either thermal or night vision and saved time on programing...

75% of our games should just be clear skies and not the other way around..its also very hard on new players..

While they are fixing vision, can I get a WORKING ADVANCED ZOOM please? I hate resorting to subliminal messaging, but really, I would appreciate a WORKING ADVANCED ZOOM at the same time as the new night/thermal vision setup.

Weird, with the exception of TD, which has a rotation bump for obvious reasons...

All the rest of my maps are pretty even. I guess God just hates you.

Pssst... I hear that there will be a secret April 1st patch that will increase MG & Flamer damage 100 times. There will be a special melting animation if you kill a mech by only using flamers.... :-)

Guys you'd almost think it was a beta huh.

Seriously the whole point of a beta is to play about with stuff like this, night vision letting you shoot someone from the other side of the map as the game began was great for snipers sucked for everyone else so they've changed it, they also want you to use normal vision as the standard instead of thermal, its a special filter only meant to be used in specific circumstances not all the time.

As for the missiles thats being worked on but anyone with any coding experience will tell you its not a 10 minute job, so go outside take a deep breath and chill.

(bold part) again this wouldnt be a problem if most of the games played weren't on maps that had horrible visibility unless you were using thermal.
