How does one define a Good Game? I see GG's given a fair amount regardless of how the match went. I'll give mine: A lot of mechs clustered together duking it out. I find it was a good game if it was fast-paced, regardless of the outcome. You?
A good game to the victors is when they rout us successfully. I tend to now say good game privately to my team after we rout another team. I respond back to the other team only after someone says good game on their end out of respect and not caring to bruise anyone.
Btw, I think it's supremely surat-ish when people say "gg ... that was close " when it's like an 8-2 victory. Or when a non commander dies out at the first 2 minute mark, but say "Good game" as if they were a driving force behind a win.
I believe an excellent game is one where people shift and use the features of the map to get an advantage or to eek out a win after early losses. Mindless brawls are okay but a great game is like when you start at the E6 ridge on Caustic but have to shift to the 4 line cause they have it covered.... You get a few out of position, and they move to reinforce the 4 line, and you pull back to e6 to draw them in and....
Yeah, those are longer but excellent games.
