I do still find it a bit of a dis-service to those buying it, as you can only get basic skills on it for a week - rather than being able to buy multiple variants, and work towards maxing them all out - but in reality, how much xp are you possibly going to earn in a week anwyays (unlikely that you'll get enough xp to push 3 variants through elite anyways).

i guess someone wasn't around when PGI removed the CN9-AH and replaced it with the CN9-YLW...
Still doesn't mean you had to buy it.
The AH was actually the reason I didn't play Centurions. The idea of a totally ammo dependent mech really turned me off.

still doesn't mean that pgi had to remove a canon variant just to put in the CN9-YLW, actually while we're at it the questionable strategies started with the YLW (more to do with the removal of the canon variant that was just being used as a "test")

I have the "Renegade Edition." It's heavily re-edited to fix some of the worst parts. It's still bad, but doesn't actually make the Highlander fan in me want to cry.

Obviously if someone is secure in their manhood enough to not care that it's pink (or actively wants to annoy people like you) and makes enough money that they can spend their entertainment budget wherever they want, they must be bad at MWO.

Maybe you don't understand how pay to win systems actually work. You see, for it to be pay to win, they'd have to actually be worth a d*mn. It doesn't much matter if they money is real or pretend if what you get for it makes no noticeable difference.

It doesn't. Normal Highlander goes 54 kph in tabletop only, because by TT rules its running speed is rounded up from 4.5 to 5. It happens to all mechs with odd walking MP (their engine rating = tonnage multiplied by odd number). In MWO normal Highlander will have proper top speed of 4.5 30-meter units per 10 seconds, or 4.5 * 10.8 kph = 48.6. Same thing with stock Atlases, they go 54.0 in TT, but 48.6 in MWO.

So long as noone references the sequels. You know, the ones which do not exist in any right-thinking universe. No, I'm serious. Noone better reference those. They're classified as high crimes against humanity for a reason you know.
There was only one.

Frankly I would be fine if they released all mechs as MC-only for a month before including the cbill version.

Can't fit 3 PPCs in the arm. Max is 2 PPC and a large laser. Still nice though.

Ugg. Terrible idea. 2 weeks is enough time to run around with only basic skills mastered. Thats 2 weeks of just about every mech having better speed/heat management/turning capabilities and so on. Only after the 2 weeks and a few more hours of grinding can you even think about getting Elite and Master skills which also double the basic skill values.
Thats te ereason why I am still debating on wether or not to buy the Heavy Metal now or not at the moment or wait and see what the otehr Highlander variants have to offer in terms of hardpoints as well as the above mentioned skill advancement possibilities.

Some would say, "But the powerful Hero Mech allows extra special options and loadouts early to MC buyers", but then the problem would be with the Hero Mech being unbalanced and nothing to do with being released 2 weeks early. Sure, maybe it's a mech where the only way to compete is to buy variants of it(Cbill or MC). But then the problem would be that the Mech is so inherently imbalanced that everybody has to play it to win and once again nothing to do with being released early for MC-only.
Having said that, I do not disagree with the idea of hunting down *high*ly pink Highlanders just for fun

Does anyone actually own Highlander 2? haha had to be the worst Highlander ever. (not saying you guys said you did, you just made me think of that abomination)
There was never a sequel to Highlander. The only ever made one.
