I will be actively hunting them as I fully expect them to be 90% poptart config. I'm not expecting much from the people willing to shell out 40 bucks for a pink mech either. On a positive note the jenner will be eating pink tears today.

Did you do a 360 after? Most of you seemed to, I just put you in the camp of people that fell for the bait and switch after they "changed" the system.

Why don't you move on? I put you in the you don't contribute at all to this community camp. Yes I was happy with the end result of the "Flushing".

As opposed to buying the mech for $30 when you can master it. It's still $30.

Releasing the hero first is the real way to make people buy it..... since they can't make it OP awesome or the community goes nuts. A little bit of exclusivity is fine.

This however sets a precedent for the hero mechs for clan tech.

OP: Are you serious? You want to grief people because of something PGI did? No, man. Just no. Not cool at all.

Then I can happily continue to think that you're an easily persuaded sycophant. If you didn't want to have this lovely conversation you shouldn't have started it.

That mech is DOA. The hardpoints won't make it viable to go head to head against a DDC so the only option for that highlander is long range fire support. I am betting 3 PPC and a Gauss builds are going to be common.

Not sure about the other variants, but it's not possible with the HM. Only 8 crits free in that arm...

At 49.5 KPH it has already been dubbed the "SLOWLANDER"..

Better adjust that loadout. :P

Stock engine. It probably can go 60kph with speed tweak much more easily than the Atlas.

Aww shucks you said "Lovely". That has to be the nicest thing that ever came out of your mouth. They took the PTW out of the Flush. So I don't know where you get the "easily persuaded" accusation from. It seemed to appease even those more anti-PTP peeps.

That's short sighted and, frankly, childish. Let them enjoy their purchase, and let PGI make some money in a clever way.

You don't understand how pay to win systems actually work. A player can't afford to triple stack consumables every match without either prem time or buying them with MC. That is pay to win. Players in competitive matches will do it or such consumables will be banned in those circles. In casual play the guy with a lot of expendable cash will have a distinct advantage over everyone who doesn't. Straight up, it is pay to win. A paywall is still a paywall when the alternative non pay options are unrealistically onerous. You don't understand the systems or economics behind the things you like to yap about. You're easily persuaded by smoke and mirrors.

I don't mind a hero mech coming out 2 weeks before the regular variants. In fact, i wouldn't mind if the regular variants were MC purchase only for 2 weeks either. There are enough mechs in the game to keep most people interested and working on Mastery. Unless everyone is ready to pony up a lot of cash for cockpit items and colors, selling mechs is their primary income (I would think). It is a business, and honestly I would rather wait for a few weeks worth of reviews before I spend 100 million Cbills trying to outfit 3 new mechs.

It's only P2W if these items become mandatory battlefield equipment. If we keep hearing, "We would have won if only we had more airstrikes!" then maybe it is a problem. As it is, even a stock Atlas has plenty of time to walk away from the blast radius without taking a scratch.

An MC only 3 ton AC/1 would be P2W. Airstrikes and Cool Shots? Not so much.
