Same issue here, in Japan. ATI card latest driver.

Decidedly unimpressed with the quality of this patch.

PGI I suggest you add APAC-based alpha testers to your QA group. Assuming you have one.

I'm going to assume, based on locations of people, pings, and what people have said, that this is a network issue, and not a graphic one. We will probably be better off when they fix whatever networking issue they introduced.
Either that, or their servers are overloaded from higher than regular people playing because its patch day.

I had this black screen after loading screen for 1 maybe 2 minutes. Then i got into the game, my team mates were lerking about the map and i was at the start up sequence. With 9 fps.

Cannot play at all here either, black screen, alt-tab doesn't work and my mechs are all stuck in battle after I close the game. Hot fix or roll back ASAP please.

Somebody saw a red mech and they wanted it painted Blaaaaack. All i see is blackness. Funny thing, i just jumped onto a free romanian VPN which gave me a 500 ping and i got into a match, disconnected tried my normal connection at 300 and no joy...

could be anything mate - seems very random as to whether you get into games or not. I'm getting into maybe 1 of 3 and experiencing the same black screen while loading issue...

It might. Seems the majority of people having this issue are in the Pacific.

i think it does. and i agree with zeriniels earlier post that this is not something graphical.

it has more to do with latency and the other bug that everyone else is getting where their mechs get stuck in game since after i alt+f4 and relog my mech seems to be still stuck in a game. Which, between the blackscreen waiting and me eventually giving up alt+f4 and relogging is a good solid 20 minutes. way longer than any game would take to finish.

Add me to the pile of black screen on launch corpses ( Australian with a regular 280ms ping if that helps ). The map loading screen appears for me but then it'll go black for 5 minutes and spamming alt tab hasn't helped. Nvidia drivers ( GF 560ti ) all updated so it's not because I didn't do that.

Playing from NZ - black screen even after waiting patiently for something to happen. When something did finally happen on 2 occasions, chat did not work.

I'm from Canada, with a 50 ping to the MWO server and I'm getting this..... every... match... I try to play....... not very happy.

nothing to do with location nor server loads patching etc....its the patch itself. there are players who are on the north america continent there are players in asia and Aust all expereincing the same thing....

Testing grounds works fine.
No maps load without a long lag cycle or the game crashes itself.

FYI I have this issue but am in Asia, not AUS, seems it might effect everyone with higher ping than North Americans.

The few matches I got into, I'm seeing much more missing players as well, or players who never load in, so it's pretty common.

And yes, I tried reinstalling, it fixed my lack of structures on river city, but nothing else.

This issue seems the worst on Alpine.

Finally got into a match, most of my team was probably experiencing the issue, as only me and two other guys moved. I then CTD 30 seconds later. Chat wasn't working. Issues reported in other threads.
Besides Updating Driver, also deleted the USER folder, and ran in windowed mode before switching to fullscreen.

Same bug here, 270 ping in AU. Just dropped into alpine peaks with 6 mins left on the clock. 2 left of each team. My remaining teammate appeared to have the loading bug (high ping, no mech listed next to name). Wandered over to the enemy base and destroyed the remaining mechs, that were badly damaged, winning the match. Also the 't' and 'y' keys would not work so I had no way to explain what had happened to the people spectating.
