PGI wants MWO to work. Working MWO = Profit.
Every company, major and minor, has many bugs. Pretty much every PC game doesn't work perfectly out of the box, requiring an online patch. In addition, online games are constantly adding content which means, you guessed it, more possibility for bugs.
But hey, just because you rage doesn't mean you know anything about games.
I understand this and I currently work for a global company and I can assure you the simple fact that we are here to make money and produce the highest returns for our share holders has absolutely no impact on the capability (or absolute lack thereof) of the executive staff to effectively do their jobs. Sure we make money and sell our goods all over he globe but if the executive dinosaurs were half as smart as they think they are we would be making buckets more money. Certainly PGI is not actively trying to bother people but their 'good intentions' have no correlation to their ability to produce a quality product (which presently is more good than bad).

im sure theres noone who would dissagree on that about bugs, but why need new patch, where only thing is new and ugly mech to buy, but old bugs left untouched plus alot more new bugs to play with?

1. Crash to desktop - Yes, I've already upgraded to the latest NVIDIA drivers available
2. Enter no longer works to end chat, or even send a chat message while piloting mech
3. Drops out of thermal vision randomly
4. Scoreboard flashes to almost unreadability while playing
5. While spectating can longer bring up scoreboard, or strategic map
6. While spectating the mini map will sometimes not be visible
7. When starting not all team member's 'mechs are displayed (yes, these people ARE actually online not DC'd)
8. While spectating can't chat, neither mapped keys for chat will work at all. Even after pressing enter several types, pressing escape several times (or any other previously known resolution to this issue)
I mean it's very obvious easy to find crap like this (I found in matter of only 5 games) that makes me question whether or not PGI is making a PROFESSIONAL investment in the QA process.
Hiring a random amount of ******* off the street, especially in Canada, is NOT how you get professional results for your QA process.
7 is... well, from what i have seen, those people are blackscreened and their mech appears in the scoreboard as soon as they start to see something. in the last case that took until 2 seconds before i killed the last enemy though.
It's not the worst patch ever for this game, but stability wise it... is... not very welcome, unfortunatly. Let's hope they iron that stuff out fast.
Never play on patchday...

Wow pgi this trash of a game is falling apart. Time to close doors? I am absolutely furious about this patch. And they say they have a private server where they test patches before releasing them. What a joke.

Heck, look at how much Blizzard goofed up Diablo III after years of development testing and that game's nowhere near as complex as this one. Even with existing platforms, they'll launch something in WOW that causes unintended issues. It ain't easy, and PGI doesn't even have the resources (or good will from the fanbase). I'm just glad someone is producing something playable in the Battletech universe for the first time in a decade. The last one? When Electronic Arts bought Kesmai then ran their version of MWO into the ground,

You make it sound almost as if DirectX wasn't there to isolate game devs from computer/video card/etc specifics and that most problems arise from some mysterious incompatibility rather than wrong code. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this game still runs DX9 to this day. Which hasn't seen changes like for almost two years.
Now, however, that the many rainbow colored polygons bug is well known and been reported. But why don't they add a notification window like the one that appears in Blizzard games on patch days. Burying that important info deep into patch notes kinda does not work for some people.

Just because they did not do this on purpose does not mean they know how to make games.

So far I have:
- Crashed to desktop
- Lost 5-10 FPS at all times
- Experienced weird zooming back and forth as though I were lagging (ping remains stable at <30)
- Got a whole bunch of exciting texture pop-in and artifacting. Playing on tourmaline and alpine hurts my eyes.
- Sometimes textures and bump mapping on buildings just doesn't display. The result is an eerie looking white mass of polygons.
If they rolled back the accidental early release of the new vision modes, then I cannot think of a single reason why they shouldn't rollback this patch as well.

Definitely getting "warping" BIG time, in spite of maintaining an internet connection with ping smoothly below <30ms.

This patch is a leaked version of special highly top-secret in-company April Fools' game build. Release code name: The Bug-athon.
Mar 31 - PGI holds internal competition in preparation for the build. The purpose of which was to add as many bugs as humanly possible in limited time-frame. PGI developers WINNING!
Apr 1 - The winner gets to design the special loadout for the new trial Dragon. The runner-up is pissed, cause trial mechs blow. Not to mention the ***** pinkiness of the new HERO MECHZORZ. So in revenge he gets the secret internal build tagged for release.
Apr 2 - LOL!

Amazing.
They really do need to roll this patch back, this is entirely unacceptable, untested code.
