Congrats to you. Sounds like you had a good streak. Hopefully that helps you get your xp average up.

Regardless, your average, even after a rather low # of games is fairly low and doesn't do anything more than showcase that for MOST pilots, the 2X/4X aren't worth taking over other lights, let alone 3L's specifically.

I wish they had more going for them, but they don't. Your streak of 5/7 doesn't change the metrics the vast majority of people are seeing and in fact your stats just emphasize them. Not a big deal. Wouldn't get wrapped around the axle on what people think if YOU enjoy piloting the things.

Just realize, you're choosing to take what's widely recognized a sub-optimal Mech and saying it's otherwise without something concrete to back it up won't back that up.

I'm pretty sure the Raven 2X and 4X both suck. Once I finished the 4X, I was significantly better at it, but I really don't ever want to touch it again.

I ended up using an LB-10X and 2ML i think.

Maybe he's using a cell-phone. Should you be snarky about people's ages when you're part of a Brony club? I mean...it's kind of telling really. ;)

Anyone can have good games in bad mechs. Some of the 'bad' mechs are a lot of fun to pilot too. But honestly, if we get one truly 'competitive' variant out of each chassis, that's about the best we can hope for. No point in everyone pulling out their screen shots. Most mechs have a questionable variant that you are forced to pilot (or buy a hero mech instead). If you can have fun doing it then kudos to you. But don't act like the 4X or 2X is really 'just as good' as a 3L.

I wasn't aware the 3L and D-DC weren't competitive.

I would think that when you talk about competitive mechs the D-DC and the 3L would be benchmarks. Where did you get the impression that I didn't think they were?

first off i dont give a **** about my stats never have never will.
the point i was trying to make was i got over a 1000 xp consistently in a
mech most people wouldnt wipe there *** with. the picture
below should answer some questions about what mechs i
have and my build i use.

In the screenshots you posted, more than half your XP was from savior kills. While I appreciate the free XP, that's all it is- it might as well be randomly given out, since you can't see your teammates' healths, and most of the time it happens you're just focusing one target anyway. There's no skill component whatsoever for savior kills, and I have always been baffled as to why they're worth so much XP.

There's nothing wrong with the Ravens 2x and 4x if used right. People just need to learn they are not scouts nor are they hit-and-run mechs. They lack the speed. I mean seriously the 4X trial/factory default rig is slower than my AC-20 Raven 4x.

This is (to some degree) true, but it's not very helpful when you're trying to explain to the other seven heavies/assaults on your team why you're not out capping. If you play a light, expect to get yelled at in every game of conquest if you're not capping.

I often see lights sticking to the team in conquest. And only a handful of people have ever yelled at them for doing it. Must have dropped with you.

Back when LRMs still did damage, if you didn't drop with a DDC it was nice to have one of the ECM lights handy. Mediums can cap just fine too.

Sorry, Still crap.

Can they be fun to play, and played effectively? Yes.

Are they still crap compared to, say, the 3L or any Jenner? Yes.

Aye, posts that are of the type "You all though X was bad, but here's why it isn't! [Screenshot of Victory]" aren't very convincing overall. You can take not so great mechs and/or not so great weapons (I'm looking at you, LB-10 X) and do well with them. The community in general may regard something as sub-optimal, usually with reasons, but with some creativity or superior piloting skill you may be able to make it work for you in some fashion. This, however, doesn't make it 'great' by any means. Pretty much the only thing a post like this is going to accomplish is to compel people to post why you're wrong and generally make fun of you in some way. It's almost all going to be negative feedback. If you want some positive feedback on something like this, make it about 'this is how I made X work for me'.
