Anyone else noticed everybody plays Dual gauss, AC or ppc builds? Matches are kinda unbalanced right now. You get Long ranged bashed in every Match. Pug or 8 Man.

Run a Jenner with a 3L or 5D friend, and force people to brawl. It's like herding cats, but it can be done.

I have only experienced drops where all weapons types are used - energy, ballistics and missiles

I'm pretty sure there's recently been an increase in sniping overall. I've been thinking about it and I don't know why. Peopel that were missile boating going sniping could male sense, but I'm not sure that's it.

Those have been the best weapons for quite some time.

It just takes the general population longer to catch on.

You missed eleventy billion large lasers, and the ever the filler medium laser in your QQ post.

....and other than all of the missiles being compete crap, no kidding long range is taking over, you can't run in chest bump and blow a side torso off, well everthing.

This is about the best I've seen weapon balance .....ever.

Yeah must have missed Guass, Slas and LRM warrior...otherwise known as before double heatsinks.

Yes, for the first time ever in this game PPCs are actually threatening.

I haven't noticed...seems like a good mix of all weapons (though LRM boats are probably now the rarest)

It's only because missiles suck. Supposedly the fix will drop in May, so the meta will likely change once again.

Apart from missiles though, I'm pretty happy with ballistics, PPCs, and lasers at the moment. Even though you now are forced to fight at range, you have lots of good choices of how to go about it.

The last few days I've seen LRMs used in two matches. The users died quickly both times.

Every single match has featured snipers though, sometimes a whole team of them.

PPC are good for poking but bad for close combat because of high heat . Needs no change

Anyone whos using double gause rifle is slow and vulnerable to small mechs .

UAC5 is a good weapon when people kind enough to stay in place . Start moving sideways and half of the bullets will miss .

Overall large lasers is still most reliable weapon in game

If you don't want to fight at range, don't just go running towards the enemy and let them shoot you up while you close on them. Find some cover and wait for an engagement, so you can close without taking as much fire. It isn't rocket science.

But on PPCs, they are great until you chuck six on a stalker and load up on coolant.. then they are dull weapons that kiddies will use to grief(see above) which is why I'm renameing them Snivel Boats; the home of snotty nosed twerps.
