High Ping? Low Frames? Tell us about it here!

Please attempt to respond to the following questions in your responses:
  • How had the patch generally affected your performance?
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
  • System specs (You can include them in a [spoiler] [ /spoiler])
  • Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location

I am now getting some of the worst rubber banding I have seen. Not just in this game... ever. I get light mechs teleporting forwards in leaps and bounds of 20m to 50m - making it completely impossible to get a target lock or hold a laser on target.

My mech seems to teleport randomly. It's never actually where I see myself. Enemies ignore me when I'm standing right in front of them and then I teleport somewhere far away. Target, vision mode, and zoom keys are unresponsive and enemies don't take damage when I shoot them. In summary, I'm seeing massive connection issues. All the while the game reports my ping as low as 38.

  • How had the patch generally affected your performance?

FPS has dropped to closed beta levels, 8-15 fps on all maps.
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
from beginning of the match to the end of the match.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
everything is on low or off, no change. its the only way I can play at a decent fps. lowest resolution also. My pc should be able to do much better than this.
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS0
I was getting 20-25 on all maps except tourmaline, which was around 30
  • System specs (You can include them in a [spoiler] [spoiler]])
AMD FX 6100 six core processor

AMD Radeon 7450
10 GB RAM
windows 7, 64 bit
  • Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location
just tested at 30mbps download/ Lubbock, TX

Exact same FPS issue as before, except now, at the beginning of some matches, I will see a decent FPS for a second or two and it drops down sometimes into the single digits.

Looks like at least 2 more weeks of poor performance and little play time.

so basically you have a rig like my 3rd one. Meaning if you do not that a top of line you are SOL. Currently on my mid line rig still in the teens. Were this rig was in the 30 - 40fps guess will not be playing much. Again wow we need a roll back 2 patches ago.

lol, another fps drop? is someone here ******** or what? went from 40-50fps on medium, to 20-35 no hd7750. not to mention you didnt fix server thinking im somewhere im actually not, played two games after the patch, first one my client was totaly out of sync with server, and it froze after couple of minutes, second one i was playing without a hud, fist time that happened to me, IGP start fixing your bugs instead of "optimising" your game and adding more payed content

Now I'm getting as low as 7 fps when turning my torso. Didn't monitor my fps before the april patch from hell, but the game ran fine back then. I run the same graphics settings.

Still getting rubberbanding, teleporting and zoom lag.

Weapon response seems better for now but i've only played a handfull of matches so far.

My ping is the same as b4 the patch (had rubberbanding then aswell) at between 110 and 180. This seems about right since im from the UK, Within the Uk my ping is under 20, as soon as i hit the east coast f the US its above 100. According to pingtest.net

ISP: Virgin Media : 60mb Down, 6mb Up

Computer Specs : See Sig.

Still rubberbanding, and I know it's not my end since I can play other games fine. Heck, I can play Planetside in a 100+ player battle and not have lag. I guess I just have to wait another 2 weeks since this isn't important enough to fix.

Uh well, my game just randomly froze right when I got into the match after the screen where it shows the teams. No error or anything, just frozen and then closed to desktop.

Frame-rate is still criminally bad, I'm getting 10-12 FPS in general thus making the game unplayable.

Will be seeking a refund if not resolved as it previously was fine and playable. I'm not upgrading my PC for the sake of one game...

So, the performance is just as bad as the last patch with no change to my system in anyway, so there's not much point repeating this: http://mwomercs.com/...44#entry2181044

Nothing has changed from the last patch as I can tell. I haven't been able to test any new features like host state rewind for ballistics because of the rubberbanding and my fps dipping down to slideshow speeds.
Looks like I'm out for the next two weeks.

Oh hell I'm gonna be more unpopular here than I am in some games..

FPS is UP (yes you heard me) by about 5 on all maps.

SO now my humble Radeon 5450's (two of em crossfired - yes I am well aware it doesn't work in MWO) over a quad Phenom II X4 40. Average fps is now 20 -25 not 15- 20 as it was before on full low settings, which have NOT changed from last time.

Played for about three hours tonight. Notable improvement right across the board. ;)

However....

The No Mini map bug has struck several times which it hadn't before. And I twice lost the IFF indicators so I had no idea who was who....

Connection speed is the same a crappy 4 meg dsl line acessed over wireless N. Here in sunny old England

Ping is fractionally up but stays stable at about 130. Last patch it was 90 - 250 ish changing every 30 seconds or so. The patch before that it was about 70 - 90 every game.

Sorry to be different...... Cheer up tho' I expect when I get a better Graphics card next week I'll drop back to 15 fps. That seems to be the way its going here... :D

My rubberbanding ahs also gotten even worse with this patch. zooming can take up to 4 seconds. firing can take up to 6 seconds. missiles seem worst affected (SRM)

ping has been mostly at 80 today. still losing /dc on tracert to server. emailed support.
