FPS reduction. Used to be 17 to 75, now it's 12 to 40 FPS.

Nvidia GT 650M
Crucial SSD
i.7 3610-QM (4 cores 2.3 GHz)
Alienware m14x

I don't think my computer is under-specced.

Also, I've noticed severe FPS reductions whenever there's smoke - say from mech overheats and such. FPS was better before the patch that introduced it I think.

FPS reduction is still there. Rubberbanding is sadly not fixed like it should. Hit registration is also not consitent.

Game remains unplayable due to low FPS. (Formerly in the 20s - which isn't so great - but it's now <10)

As a matter of interest, FPS in the other online Mech game, Hawken, is 30+ . . . I think I'll hang out there until/unless MWO is fixed.

Hello Devs,

FPS is still in the gutter from last patch. I saw my framerate halved from about 30 fps down to a consistent 12. It's still unbearable to play; I'm a liability to any team I'm on now simply because it takes me 3 times longer to line up a shot than everyone else due to the delay between where MWO thinks my crosshairs are and where my screen is showing me they are.

I'm just wildly speculating here, but last patch you said you changed the graphics a bit because people were complaining about 'crawling' textures. I read this as the mipmap levels were changed. Since I've never noticed this, I'm assuming that whatever it is that was changed is constant throughout all graphics settings. I think many people would love it if that value were controllable by the user, or at least scaled with the detail level. I know that I have to constantly play at the lowest possible settings, and I never noticed the texture crawling before, so I don't think it'd be that noticeable to reduce the mipmap distances for lower graphics settings.

System Specs:
Spoiler

Hell, I thought you guys were doing pretty good with MWO being able to do 25-30 fps on my 4 year old laptop.

Turning down the resolution to the minimum possible didn't help things. FPS max remains at 75, minimum remains at 12. And it's still unplayable because in the middle of battle, while I'm trying to aim the FPS will suddenly spike to 12, throwing off the aiming completely during the slideshow that ensues for the next 3 seconds.

If my hardware was bad it should never be able to even reach 75. The 12-spiking seems to be more a code thing than a graphics card thing. I hear some rumours floating around that it's a division by zero bug or something like that.

Staying off MWO in the meantime.

I started to experience severe rubberbanding in the last patch, I waited a patch to see if it was resolved: it wasn't.
Ping is still about 80-120. No FPS issues. A reinstall fixed the graphics issues (I think I didn't play very much because of the rubberbanding).

System Specs:
Intel Core i7 970 3.2GHz
12GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570
Win 7 64-bit

Network Adapter: Marvell Yukon 88E8056 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller
Cable Modem: MOTOROLA SB5120
Internet Speeds: ~25Mbps download, ~3.5Mbps Upload

Well, back to the Steam backlog.

How had the patch generally affected your performance?
Went from very bad, to unplayable. Using an extreme low spec user config results in even less fps then intern low settings.

Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
Twisting and moving drops the fps below 10fps.

What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
low, low, low goes the boat. everything low, lowest resolution.

Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
Mechlab: old 60fps, new 60fps. Match start: old 80-120 fps, new: 20-50 fps. Infight old: 25-50 fps, new 8-20 fps. (There were times some patches ago, in a Galaxy far far away, when I could rock 40-80 fps infight)

Closing the UI gives 50% more fps...had my best game without a ui today.

How had the patch generally affected your performance?
Was fine yesterday. Today is another story. I literally can't play there is so much ghosting. When moving speeds suddenly jump up and down. As others have mentioned twisting is also causing a similar problem

Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
Movement, twisting.

What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
Highest on everything. I was running medium and low but to no avail.

System specs
i5-2500k @3.3GHz
RAM 8.0 GB
Win 7 64-bit
Geforce GTX 560 Ti

Hopefully this will get fixed soon :\ (But, I should probably be studying for finals anways...)

Well, tried the game after patch, and it is slightly worse. My best FPS in training was 18, with 13-15 the norm when shooting targets.I will try to reinstall, but it sounds like that may not work. I will report back either way.

FPS spiking (what people used ot call "the FPS bug") is significantly worse this patch. This is the first time I have actually been unable to play at all. I didn't even get to see if I experienced any other bugs as each drop is nothing but 5-6 seconds of smooth operation followed by 3-4 seconds of freeze frame. Totally unacceptable.

I have a ping of 18-30ms normally and I'm rubber banding and teleporting all over. Its made using lights and lasers impossible.

My mech seems to teleport randomly. It's never actually where I see myself. Enemies ignore me when I'm standing right in front of them and then I teleport somewhere far away. Target, vision mode, and zoom keys are unresponsive and enemies don't take damage when I shoot them. In summary, I'm seeing massive connection issues. All the while the game reports my ping as low as 38.

This.

No changes made to my settings since before the patch. Not only are games unplayable when it happens, I refuse to play because I am quite literally worthless to my team. Earliest signs of the desynch is that my mech "pops" as it moves, there is a delay between when I click my PPC, ballistic, or missile type weaponry and when they actually fire, and within as little as 30 seconds of play the desynch between my client and the server is as bad as 5 minutes apart. Zoom reticule inputs are equally effected. Ping does not fluctuate abnormally, holding between 101-110ms.

Near as I can tell, where my client is saying I am and where the server is saying where I am and what I am doing are entirely different. Resetting my router got me about half a match worth of stability, which quickly eroded.

Using:

i7 2600k 3.4 GHz
8 gigs of RAM
ASUS GTX 550 TI

I lost 20-30 FPS on all maps. I can't really play the game at the moment in this condition. Plus: the game crashes during matches.

Nothing changed:(

12 FPS as after April the 2 patch.

Nothing more to say really.

I just wonder: why, why can't you roll back to the march patch? What is so precious about the april changes?

Waited two weeks for the patch... Still getting rubberbanding to the point its unplayable. Hits dont register at all, srms dont fire but weapon goes on cooldown, zoom/targeting/vision modes dont respond at all or take 3-10 seconds to do so.

I just would kill to know if this is a known issue, something that appeared on the previous patch, so i can at least calm down. Other games play fine of course. Ping is 195-210 stable, same as it was 3 weeks ago, at that time the game ran smoothly.

Please! Are you aware of any issue at all? I really love this game, all i want is just to know. I guess waiting won't hurt... But let us know plz.

Serious rubberbanding, delay in changing vision modes, most shots not having any effect. Ping is under 100 every time I check. No problems immediately before patch but similar issues two days prior.

Absolutely utterly horrid rubberbanding. Everywhere. Delay in vision changes and zooms, sometimes as much as 3-4 seconds. Ping was fine, acceptable even, at a nice 90. This is the first time in my tenure here playing MWO since closed beta, that the game has become unplayable for me and my husband.
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
Pretty much all of the time

Still rubberbanding, and I know it's not my end since I can play other games fine. Heck, I can play Planetside in a 100+ player battle and not have lag. I guess I just have to wait another 2 weeks since this isn't important enough to fix.

This execpt that its not Planet Side 2 for me but otherwise the same. And I thought we would be done with this when you, after quite a while, fixed this in closed beta ......

edit: It would also help if you would acknowledge this issue in your list. If you did and I didnt figure it I will blame the lack of coffee while I posted this.

The games unplayable right now for me and a bunch of other people I talked to in game in a bunch of matches.

Our pings are just fine hovering around 70-80, but we were all getting constant lag. Even on button presses like to zoom in and target things. One minute im running at an enemy mech and the next thing I know hes behind me and all the buttons I pressed in the last 2 seconds decide to all happen at once. Its extremely irritating and like I said, unplayable. Ill probably wait till some fixes come out for it.
