I know, it's terrible. all the Highlanders around. It wasn't like this with the
Jagermech
Trebuchet
Spider
Stalker
Cataphract
Cicada
Raven
Founders Mechs...

Well.. they actually seem to like your idea:

So far they've eliminated Every light except the Com 2D, Rav 3L, and those Brave Jenners and lawlsy spiders.

Only drastic measures will get this game out of the gutter. Remove ecm and give a good buff to LRM's. That might convince at least some percentage of the player base to get back to shelling LRM's and we might get some variety in weapon builds instead of all ppc.

Ok, NERF it better:

ONE mech and ONE weapon for every gamer.
And for every mech the same engine, same hardpoints, same headsinks, same speed and so on.

So no one has a better mech as the others. Now only the skill will give you the win of a match.


..... ups, now we have to NERF the skills.

All they have to do is add cross hair shaking. Not turn the game into LRM warrior again. ~_~ Removing ECM? C'mon.

The spider? Really? That is what you're worried about when the game is unplayable?

They could just make it vary by weight or something.

I cannot wait for the first 'Flea is OP' thread. Yeah, the game has issues, but they are on so many different levels at this point, I think it will be a long, long time before any weapon balance is realized. Playing whack-a-mole with weapon stats while ignoring the core problems to game balance will get PGI nowhere fast.

All the highlander has done is show you how unbalanced the super heavy direct fire weapons are,
vs all other options
especially marshmallow firing SRMs, and thumb tac firing LRMs

Doing both will simply have the same effect that they are used all-out. LRMs, LRMs everwhere! :) Why not try to NOT be like PGI and suggest one change. Damage up per missile. ECM should stay for now. As a compromise, eh?

It is pretty challenging right now.. walk around a corner and pray you don't see dual gauss//ac20. Step out of cover for one moment, snipers hitting you left and right and they have the firepower to actually do some good damage 1000m +. Just when you thought it was safe to go for the ridge you need to get to in order to break the enemy line you realize there's a pack of them over there with LRMs and the jump snipers are still shooting at ya and you just hope and pray they don't have a microphone and aren't telling their team mates to redirect fire to your location because you don't want to see the AC/40 Jager or 6PPC stalker. Right now there's a lot going on, which is about where PGI wants it to be. There's some very good teamwork coming into play and were finally starting to see what the full spectrum of combat will be like.

What worries me, to be completely honest, is that when clan 'mech/tech gets here then everything will devolve into MechWarrior 4... meaning something along the lines of a lot of heavily armored speedy light 'mechs w/ hardly any weapons at all playing capture the flag against Dire Wolves who sit at their base and wait to one shot anything that dare move into their line of sight, including other Dire Wolves. And on the other matches it will be similar to the NovaCat 4 we're starting to see today.

(not saying that's how it's going to be, I know PGI can solve those things, it's still on the top of my brain about it.)

That was 2 patches ago..

Better Idea:
Make ECM what it's supposed to be.

Keep missile damage low (buff it a tiny bit)
Speed up the missiles so they don't need to be boated.

Indeed it was. And LRMs were widely used. I wonder how people forget that so quickly. They were used, they worked, they killed. Staying in cover also worked. I think they were perfect up until that bug...

give lurms a reason to be in the game and implement r&r so equipment costs and damage costs.
destroyed **** will have to be rebought, damaged stuff repaired.

properly implement salvage! core a mech take it's expensive weapons.

Mant4--->(not saying that's how it's going to be, I know PGI can solve those things, it's still on the top of my brain about it.) ---> One of the big problems with MWO is the mech movement is just to dammm slowwwwwwwwwwwwwww so you cannot avoid incoming fire even if you are skilled enough to do so.Past MechWarrior games the mechs moved 2-4x times what MWO mechs do so when you see a opponent which with all the fuzz view and even fuzzer zoomed in view<MWO ranged view suckkkss you could avoid his fire 50% of the time by dodging it or being fast enough to get to another cover spot.
