That One ******* 'mech

You switch builds and change your piloting style, only to die in different, more humiliating ways. Then you get all the Elite efficiencies unlocked. "Now..." you say to yourself, "Now, things are going to be different." They're not. They're the exact same, but with less legs and more fire.
Spider 5K, what must I do to unlock your God-like potential?
What 'mech don't you get along with? Anything that you just can't seem to push over a 1.0KDR no matter how hard you try (I'm no KDR *****, but not being able to break 1.0 to me means it's not worth taking)?

Cicada-2A (sold quickly)
Centurion-D (managed to get basic unlocked)
Trebuchet-7K (managed to get basic unlocked)
There are more that I sold because I didn't like them but it would be fair to say they got me killed over and over again.

The CPLT-C1 and C4 have also disappointed me. This is more them not meshing with my playstyle though.
Stalkers were disappointing the first couple of days they came out but this was more playing with poor teams and coming to terms with their blimp like proportions.

CTF-4x is all about the dual Gauss builds. I run 2x Gauss and 2x MG in mine (with max armor) and consistently score 400-600 damage. That said, it is still inferior to the Catapult or Jagermech designs for dual Gauss sniping due to the lower hardpoint layout. (The guns are mid-torso, not shoulder-height - means more exposure if sniping over ridges.)
The CTF-2x is worthless though.

I agree. Since the Jag I feel like that thing shoots out of its feet. I put more holes in dirt than other mechs!

Highlander 733C I think, the one with the AC-20, my other 2 are fun and perfom well but this thing has pushed my anger management through out the basic skills. If missles get some love I might feel different.

It used to be good, back before the latest missile changes, but now it's got 3 missile slots, one in a NARC tube, and only 3 lasers which all get shot off with the arms.
Then there's the size of the thing...

I think that the twin Gauss 4x is too slow to be effective, may be personal taste but a 4xAC/2 build has superior DPS and tends to be more forgiving if your aim isn't great.
Also getting in to mid/close range and unleashing that 100 damage burst dakka is way more fun than sniping with Gauss rifles.
